I'm most excited to make the colossuses from the Protoss. To be able to move between places without using transports or bridges.
Everything is faster, unit production is faster, building making is faster.
Like last time, never throw a large attack all at once, throw a bunch of skirmishes at one another, so they have to rebuild over and over again, effectively wasting there crystals.
Some of the units have some design flaws, and like the last game some thing are a bit to complicated like the Reaper for the Terran, to much stuff to make, to much stuff to research.
I've noticed one thing from watching the battle reports on the site, the Zerg have a lot more blood spurting out of there building.
Terran: The only units that stayed the same are the SVC's and Marines, the rest of the units are completely different. Building are about the same. Like Protoss they have a unit than can jump ledges and go over them, with out using a transport or ramp.
Protoss: I don't know to much about them. The Zealots and the Carriers are the same, there might be some more units that are the same, they're still a very confusing race to play, even in the first starcraft.
Zerg: Units have the same names. But they all are really different. Still produce faster then all the other races, but not as fast so they can eliminate the other players in a matter of minutes, but the other races have time to establish against a large attack from the Zerg.
WOW is a MMORPG, Starcraft is a single player strategy game, can't really compare them. And I'm guessing your talking about the 1st Starcraft since the 2nd isn't out yet.
You are still making no sense at all. What I asked is 'What Starcraft are you talking about?' What I said also is 'WOW and Starcraft are incomparable, WOW is a MMORPG and Starcraft is a SP Strategy game'
Last time I checked this wasn't an RTS. Granted, I quit playing the game a couple of years ago when I hit 60 and got bored of doing the same content over and over again, so maybe they revamped the entire game?
Then you go on to say:
WOW is a MMORPG, Starcraft is a single player strategy game, can't really compare them.
So, if you can't really compare them, and I made the comment that Blizzard hasn't made a - and let me bold this word for you so it doesn't slip by - strategy game for a while, and starcraft and WoW are not games that can be compared, why would you bring WoW up as an exception to my statement?
I was a huuge SC fan back in the days, so back then this game couldn't have come fast enough for me. However, by now it doesn't bug me as much anymore. You see, the old SC (and WC1/2) were a bit clunky, pixeldrawn games. The perspective and relative sizes didn't matter because it all made it sort of cute. (As far as a hundred zerglings mopping up a few terrans is cute)
However, now that computer power and 3D skills have improved so much, I'd think they would have put that to more use. Realism as far as effects, blood etc has increased so much, yet for some foolish reason they stick to the stupid unit sizes. Two marines on top of each other are probably about as high as a whole command center! That makes no sense, really. What I had really hoped for was exactly what I said before, more realistic sizes. A marine should be dwarfed by a protoss Carrier, and zerglings should be about shoulder-high. That would make playing and managing everything a whole lot more interesting - as well as visually more attractive.
i am rly affraid that starcraft 2 will not be as good as starcraft...u know games are haunted by their predecesors...but in the case of blizzard it wasn't a problem
