I'm gonna have to say either PlaneScape Torment or Arcanum... Both games rocked. PlaneScape Torment you're a dude who wakes up in a mortuary and has no recollection of who you are. A floating skull floats over and explains where you are and reads a message that was carved into your back. Arcanum is a game of magic versus technology. You begin on a zeppelin that gets attacked by airplanes, after crashing a strange gnome gives you a ring and tells you to 'find the boy'. Both excellent games I'd pick them up if you get the chance
the eldar scrolls 4blivion is definately the best rpg game of all time. its HUGE. and its not online and dosen't chew up you download limit (like WoW) . it also has literally hundreds of quests and you can be anything you want, theif, assassin, marksman, warrior, scout, mage, ect. and then there are the expantions!!

Ok I have been think about this for the past couple days and I would have to say that Final Fantasy 7 impacted me the most. At the time of it's release it had revolutionary graphics on cut scenes and very compelling storyline and characters. This game left a lasting impression on me and I don't think I will ever forget about it.
