Setting You step up and sign up your name onto the list. You're name is at the end of a long list of 64 people. You have entered the WorldWide Karate champhionships. Your aim is to win the whole thing, and win the prize money. The prize is not what took you here now at this point in time, to sign this sheet of paper, but to finally make people realise that you have skill...
Gameplay I'm going to base this game on, not on a set of actions given to the player, but a set of moves, allowing them to do what combo they want. This will give more freedom to the player, but also make it more difficult. The game will become harder and harder and dont't be surprised if you lose at the quarter finals or anything, you'll need luck as much as you need tactics and skill. The opponents attacks and defences will be decided by the random number function on my calculator, and the chance of something happening against your favour, or helping you, will be decided by how far up the Tournament ladder you are. For example, if you decide to do a high strike closed fist on the first round enemy, if on my random number, I get below 0.15, I will successfully block your attack. The lower from the threshold it is, the better the block/parry. For example:
You go for a stomach closed fist against Round 2 enemy. [I get a 0.546 on the calculator] You succesffully hit as for him to block he needed a 0.2 or lower.
Tournament Ladder Round 1 (64 people): The opposition needs lower than 0.15 to be successful. Round 2 (32 people): The opposition needs lower than 0.2. Round 3 (16 people): The opposition needs lower than 0.25 Quarter-Finals (8 people): The opposition needs lower than 0.3 Semi-Finals (4 people): The opposition needs lower than 0.4 Finals (2 people): The opposition needs lower than 0.6
Moveset[/b] The following attacks come in closed (using a fist-this is more powerful) or an open (a jab-less powerful but faster) with the hands, a headbutt variation (extremely powerful but hard to hit) or a kick. When you see [L/R] it means that the move can be in left/right side variants.
-Arc strike (comes down on the head) -High strike (Straight at the face) -Neck strike (at the neck) -Chest strike (at the chest) [L/R] -Stomach attack (at the stomach) [L/R] -Side attack (at the sides) [L/R] -Leg attack (attack the legs) [L/R] -Roundhouse kick (spin kick basically) [L/R] -Grapple (hold the head in a lock) -Throw (done after you successfully grapple)

Round 1 Announcer: "Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the Worldwide Karate Championships, 2009! *sparklers and mini fireworks go off behind him-a cheer follows* WE have yet again, picked the finest of the finest from around the world to go into combat, and fight each other until submission! I give you, Round 1, where all 64 people, will be randomly paired up, and will. be. FIGHTING!"
You both, Paw and McLoven, walk over to the man with the clipboard. Clipboard Man: Oh damn, you guys l-sorry. Erm, Paw you're off against Katie over in ring 24 and McLoven you're off to face a guy who calls himself 'Da Hulk' over in ring 3. Good luck both of you.
You go your seperate ways.
Karate Paw You walk over to the ring and slide in. The ring system, as in where you fight, works much like it does in Wimbledon. There are different rings around the place where people fight. You jump into the ring and land heavily on the half soft, half springy floor. You get up and the referee comes over.
Referee: Ok, look, I want to see a nice clean fight. That means no nipple cripples, Chinese burns or wet willies. Okay? Just make sure to shout "I give!" when you want to go.
You look at Katie, who is infact a 14 year old girl with very long hair. Although she's still a girl, you can see the muscles bulge in concentration and her face is so serious that you think there might be a heatseeker in there trying to get at you.
Ref: Okay. 4. 3. 2. 1... G- Haah got you there. *You slap him around the head* Ow, ow, ow.... Okay sorry. On three. 1. 2. 3!!!
You both shimmy up to each other...
Paw HP: 100 Status: Energetic
Katie HP: 100 Status: Super-serious
Choices [Now this is where you come in. From the list which will be at the bottom of this post, make a list of three attacks and two blocks. Or you can decide to have any combination as long as the total amount of moves add up to three.]
McLoven You walk over to ring three. Da Hulk sure lives up to his name. He has huge, always tensed muscles and he's painted himself green... You climb on in and familiarise with the rules. The referee gives you the countdown and Da Hulk starts hyperventilating... He's getting super pumped. You ask the referee for a drug test on the guy.
Referee: No don't worry. We've made it so he has to use karate moves, so he can't pick you up in his hand and splat your brain out everywhere.
You get little confidence and reassurance from this but you get ready anyway. You close up to each other as the fight begins.
McLoven HP: 100 Status: Energetic
Da Hulk HP: 100 Status: Pumped
