Evil was the most fun. But I liked them all. As good, I liked killing "bad" people (even if that got you bad karma) just because I thought they were bad, or they were rude or something. I really liked just roleplaying with it.
If you are neutral you do not get attacked by any hit squads, but raiders will still attack you.
I find just deciding what to do based on the event is a more fun way of playing the game than deciding to base every decision on good/bad/neutral stance. Eg, I won't go far out of my way to complete a mission or side quest to gain good karma, but alternatively I won't just kill people to speed things up, as that's just lazy.
i agree with firefly its more fun to play the game just turn by turn e.g.
i was an evil game and i went most of the game without talking to the ghoul in megaton but when i finally did i don't know y but i really didn't want to be mean to him.[i]
Well I know what you mean firefly, but after you play the game through without trying to take some side you want to explore more things, when I first played it I went bad cause I thought the game was awsome and I just wanted to kill everything,
But then I wanted to try what good would be like.

And lol thats a given cause raiders have small little camps everywhere, they are like pests.
Completed game with good and evil but evil was indeed more fun, but after you have killed almost every resident in all major cities, the game get pretty boring.
