Well i need help starting a new RPG. But i don't want a alien or space because i think laser and that sort of stuff is not fun. I want the games advanced but sheet shall not be HUGE!
The first 5 RPGs is in a voting. First to 5 or 10 :P
I will play your RPG if you make it like TES4: Oblivion, to have custom classes which we create and name them, custom stat bonuses. Of course, Light Armor which is for Archers and stealthy Assasins and Heavy Armor for Warriors or Battlemages. Also there should be spells. And some kind of Fighting System.
Yay I love Oblivion too! But I don't think it'll make a good RPG. However, I've identified the "RPG Death Syndrome"s causes. I know why most RPGs on here fail. Here:
A) The game-master loses interest and starts updating slowly. B) School-do not start an RPG during your GCSEs or something. C) The most important one. No driving back story! You need a story or else the RPG will fail as your character is just wandering around like an idiot.
This is a note to all RPG makers not just you Sonny.
base your RPG on something like history (Flyboys) or a videogame or something that has a good story. This way, you know what you need/are going to do, and doesnt make the game TOO predictable. --- also add level/hp and such, and don't be afraid to be harsh. If a player makes an ally...kill him (the ally). player is surronded by zombies and only has a spork? Call upon the sporktastic power of George to save the day! (ther ya go alt ). But really, dont be afraid to say that a player has died. If a player keeps getting away with stuff like that, then it makes them sloppy in their choices, and degrades gameply for everybody
Maverick4, TES4 Oblivion has a great Story, given a rating of amazing 8.8 from Game Reviews. Which is the largest Gaming community, and famous from all of them.
