System of a down has some really good metal songs, and some really strange but yet quite enjoyable ones(vicinity of obscenity), so i like them alot more, they're one of my favorite bands
gobbali serj went solo because system wanted to take a break. i like serj and old system better because it has more of him singing instead of screaming or talking
SOAD is great but they kinda broke up when Serj went solo. But serj has some great songs out there like Empty walls. And this kind of music is wht we need with bands like Him and Fall Out Boy out there
If they are they haven't made it public yet. Serj is working on a more classical sounding album though.
It's a hard choice for me though, I think that Serj is able to really get his message out better in his solo stuff, but System was amazing. I'd say I like them both, but I'd go for System if Daron didn't write so many of the lyrics >.< He seems to make pretty pointless stuff...
