Despite his strong links with United's arch-rivals Liverpool, Owen would welcome a move to United because it would give him the chance to prove himself at Champions League level and also bolster his chances of regaining his place in England head coach Fabio Capello's plans for next summer's World Cup finals.

Due to his fitness problems, the recruitment of Owen would seem to represent a gamble for Ferguson but concerns over his durability will be offset by the chance to hire him on a free transfer.

If he will not have injurie problems he will do well, the other strikers except Rooney aren't so good. I don't think that Berbatov, Manucho, Macheda, Welbeck are better than him.

Well yeah, Owen's physical conditions are a major factor...hopefully it'll clear up. He sort of...faded away from the scene these few years.

I don't think that with all his injuries he will run, but neither Berbatov does, so that is not a problem.

If he can't run, perhaps they'll just pass him the ball to shoot? Like a centre man, whose job is merely to receive and shoot. -_-'
