Well, not many people can beat games. Plus it would be unfair to those who cant play games because of their internet, such as Skater. Besides you can already make 29ap per game. 2 for rating it, 2 for the original good comment. And 25 if the comment gets merited. Lets not forget you can get 1ap for posting in the forums, minus a select two sections, and 2ap for every comment you leave on messangers. So doing one of each of the above would give you 31-32ap. How nice is that? But quite honestly, AP is a luxury which is not like by some. It is quite unnecessary to have all together. However it is here, along with many ways to get it. Although, if this idea were added, we would get much similar to kong, as said before, and there would be glitches in it, which would come with complaints. There are absolutely enough ways to get AP as it is, shown by our 35,000+ number one. However some do abuse these ways to get AP, by doing this you could get banned. So I advise not doing it.
And you do have to take into account possible cases of hacking, cough cheat engine, and botting. There have already been cases of Gemcraft being hacked, if the rumors are true already.
That is what Kongrate does, and AG is trying to be original. Plus, AP is not everything. There are already plenty of ways to get it.
Yes, many new users who join want many of Kongregate´s features, which is fine. But Armorgames does not want to be cast in a bad light by copying ideas. Plus it might mean Kongregate becomes angry with Armorgames and deletes all their games.

Imagine if you got points for completing Sonny 2 or Bubble Tanks 2. Both take long, but Bubble Tanks can be completed in a few hours. Sonny may take weeks or months. I bet the only people who would get points for completing Sonny 2 are hackers or desperate people.

Yes, it would be an unfair advantage for hackers who can simply hack for loads of points. Or people using manuals(There are some for good games) that tell you how to easily beat hard levels or puzzles.
Simply because they'd have to put it into every game. It would have to be recoded so that at a certain point in the game you get points for beating it. This has been suggested many times.

Seeing games do have walkthroughs sometimes, especially puzzle games that require you to interact with the environment. For example, Retardo and the Iron Golem. You can just follow the steps in the guide, complete the game and attain AP. not much fun in that you'll agree.
But that would be the same thing like kongregate has.. nah! i mean kongregate does also have games.. are we forced to delete all now because we want to be unique?
I think there SHOULD be badges for achievements in games even though that will be same as Kong but with a little AG spirit we could create badges in AG style, it will be great and some people often quit AG because there is no achievements in games.
As mentioned earlier, even if copying other sites is not a problem, there are still many issues to solve.
1) Game hacking. 2) Easy completion due to walkthroughs on some games being available. 3) Botting through scripts, so it'll be relatively easy to win. 4) Proper coding to ensure that the user has beaten the game.
I always thought AP was a reward for contributing to the site, I.E. Reviewing and rating games, answering questions, Expanding the selection of games, Etc... It wouldn't be fair to get AP for finishing a game.
Although it would be interesting if you could get badges and whatnot from certain games.
well maybe AG could monitor peoples behavior. if the user is getting points every second or just getting points rapidly faster than most people AG could send them a comment saying your profile has been collecting points unnaturally fast or something.
