ForumsGamesBiological... a little disappointing?

I've kind of played around with all three classes... Electric Psychological, Strength/Poison/Speed Biological, and Hot/Cold Hydraulic... After reading all the guides I was expecting all the Biological classes to be very different, but I suppose not? Strength did about 1000 (at around zone 4 with the best strength equips I had at the time) with every Withdrawal and Destroy. Under the same circumstances, my Poison did about the same amount of damage per turn with Infect. The Speed build took a long time to set up, and did 5000 per Withdrawal. Crystallize made this a safe but rather slow method of progressing through the story.

I remember doing much more damage with all the other classes around this point. Should I really reserve my judgement until I get to level 30 and finish zone 5 or something? Or is biological as plain as I think?

P.S. is shadow psychological worth playing?

I have played several times with psych, usually with electric. The biggest advantage of electric is the dispeling and the regular good damage. Though when you hit zone 5 with all the cosmo enchantments it becomes a little less useful. I haven't played shadow psych as much. But it can do good damage and heal well. The problems are, it doesn't dispel, and it requires alot of setup to do the good damage. Which is fine with a enemy with lots of health that isn't going to throw off your chain with its attacks. Shadow also requires alot of point investment to be done right, so doesn't really work till latter on. The one nice thing with shadow is it is useful for healing enemies or those cyborgs who have specific windows open for attack with their shields.

I am in zone 4 with a speed bio right now. I use sharpen senses(got a number of physical pen items)->shadow blend-> vicious strike twice. Does good damage and doesn't require alot of setup. Slash would do even more damage, though the vicious strike also heals. Plus with integrety 4, you will never run out of focus doing this. So you don't have to equip or waste a turn with, leading strike. I haven't tried the withdraw thing yet, going to respect for it now to get past the cockroach.

Disrupt, integrity, break (especially level 2 so no cost) and adrenaline are all nice bio stuff. Crystalise is nice too but I don't bother with it, too slow.

I am not sure what you mean by &quotlain". One nice thing with bio compared to psych, more options. Psych has alot of crap you should never use in its tech tree, which are completely out-shown by the few really good psych abilities.

I'll read over everything else later (in a battle) but by plain I meant all the biological builds seemed to do around the same damage at around zone 4 for me.

Crystalise + Toxicant form + Shadow blend + Agile exposure + Withdrawal + High innate speed = 25,000 point hit. With no risk to yourself.

I wouldn't bother with the crystalise in most examples. Wouldn't want to crystalize over agile explosure anyway.
