Today North Korea sent a message to the US, in the form of seven ballistic missiles. Obviously, they didn't hit anything, but it is still going to increase tension between the UN and North Korea.

What I'm wondering though, is why in the world they would launch missiles that they know aren't going to get close to the US. Also, North Korea isn't exactly the largest country, and if the US was to go to war with them it would be over very quickly. North Korea wouldn't be able to match the size of the army, and our own nuclear weapons could wipe them off the map if we chose to use them.

How do you feel about the situation? Will the US once again be police of the world, or will we for once make the UN deal with this on their own? Is Kim Jong Il just stupid, or is there a reason he spends millions of dollars to develop missiles, then sends them shooting into the ocean?

Ok a few people told me not do double post back to back but I have a question Is my post where I wrote about U.S.A bombing Hiroshima and deserving a fine. Under Kirby998 and under donpiet if so like at the dates on them Kirbies is 7:01 and donpiets is 7:19?

If it's not like that sorry for the trouble and it's like that on my page.

Umm..this question was confusing. But your posts all seem fine.

But we are stupid.

We just try too hard to please everyone. And for good reason, we need the support of other countries. Sure, we're the most powerful country on the globe, but without any allies we'd go down fairly easily if there was another world war.

Green12324 Are you saying that U.S.A should have got away scot free the way they did for killing all those people.
If only you knew the civilian death rate and deformities of the infected and their children.

(Oh and that's what Sundan did to prevent a civil war in Iraq it's the same with what U.S.A did except one was made to prevent a war and the other to try to end the war)

The US did help rebuild the cities. I'm not saying that I'm glad so many people died, and of the ongoing effects, but there weren't many choices. It was either drop the bombs and lose a couple hundred thousand, or invade Japan and lose millions.

I THINK the actual estimate of infected was a little over or under a million.

I know they helped rebuild the cities Green12324.

But I still think they should have got a major fine maybe not 2.3bill but like an amount agreed by the UN.

Because the cost for repairs and health was immense.

Maybe. Maybe a fourth of the cost to rebuild their cities. At least the non-military parts.

Don't worry about the posts though.

A FOUTH OF THE COSTS I dont think thats reasonable I was think more like OVER the cost of repairs lets say 2/8 or 1/4 above the cost since they wouldn't of had to pay a dime. For repairs. (Discluding the few military repairs

How did we get to Japan? Let's talk about NK

He's right.

but equally will america suffer loses.

I'm not sure if we would suffer equal loses if we weren't able to trade with China. We buy a ton of stuff from them, but a lot of it isn't necessary. It would probably help America in the long run, as we'd be forced to produce the products ourself.

You guys are getting it wrong most countries (if not every country) has trade ties to China so it wont make a hugely immensive diffrence. Canada has huge trade ties with China.

Trust me guys in the long run it'll hurt U.S.A more than China.

A) check your sources... CAREFULLY
B) "it is still going to increase tension between the UN and North Korea." UN stands for united nations, a peacekeeping organization, so no tension there. I believe you ment US
C)NO he is not stupid, nor crazy. US wouldn't dare to send another atom bomb and NK has allies. US knows this. the only reason there's tension between the two is that US in meddling in too many forgein affairs that isn't their problem.

Well I think if our country was at war I don't think that we would need souvenirs <.<

as if america would only import souvenirs from china.
if someone is trading with somene else, it means both people profit from it.
as for china and america, they both trade with all the world.
of course its a lot america buys and therefore a huge part of their production, but not everything.
and if america does not get the products, they have to import it from somewhere else or do it themselves, which is a much more expensive solution.

if it would only harm china to put up embargos, the us would have made them capitalistic, humanrights loving and open minded in no time, because they would embargo this point of view on them.
but somehow noone is eager to put embargos up

What do you mean no tension there? The UN has put sanctions against NK. UN, not US.

NK has allies.

Not really... The closest they have is China, and I highly doubt China would support them in any wars.

I doubt very much that it would be a world war even if it was it wouldn't be the end of human race.

Now what I think people should do is assainate him (onviously not a NK but some sniper from Britian, France, Poland, U.S.A ect...).

I agree with him!

Let's stage a coup in a country with ballistic missiles and other goodies!

Who knows? A even more unstable and openly insane dictator might take his place!
