Every crib got one tool you need to get in. You can buy a new tool after each crib done from tool-ted in the main area. To get to the cribs, click on the map in your inventory and choose one. You have to be in the main area (where your apartment is) to get to a crib. Once you are in, you can't go out. And you won't have to.
