This is my first story ever, it probablly isn't any good so feel free to give constructive criticism. I am always up for new ideas as well.

Over ten thousand years ago a powerful Demon Lord was banished from Armor to the Realm of Chaos. Now he is back, and he is not alone. Hordes of demons have joined him in the conquest of Armor, and the destruction of its people. Though King Barret I(the one who banished the Demon Lord) died long ago his descendants still ruled and so the Demon Lord would exact his revenge on them.

Chapter I: Discovery.

Braketh and his royal knights had been marching for hours. The sun was hot and in a full set of armor it was unbarable. Why had his father sent them out on a day like this. But then again he had been acting strange lately. Ever since the dark clouds appeared to the north, King Halder had been on edge. Sending scouting parties farther and farther north, each returning with the same results absolutely nothing.

Brakeths party was sent the farthest north yet. The dark clouds were close. But no enemies were in sight. Braketh wondered what they were looking for anyway. His father had told him before their departure. Be careful my son, I fear that I'm sending you to your death. He still didn't understand that either. His men were considered to be some of the strongest in the kingdom, having survived many wars they were all battle hardened. Fighting was second nature to them. One of his knights spoke up. My Lord, someone approachs. A man came from farther up the path. Dressed in a black cloak and hood. He carried a staff as well.

Leave now knight, or he will crush you and your men. What are you talking about old man? Braketh began to wonder what kind of trickery this was. The Demon Lord has returned from the Realm of Chaos. Seeking revenge against King Barret I. But he will not do this alone. Thousands upon thousands of Demons have joined him. Leave now and escape his wrath. Before Braketh could ask another question the man disappeared in a flash of blinding light. When their vision was clear the old man was gone. Braketh don't you think we should head back? Bane was looking at him, eyes wide and terrified.[i] Do you actually believe him Bane? It was just a crazy old man. Lets keep moving, we need to find a good spot to camp for the night. Night came more quickly than usual. Braketh's men had been on edge since the old man's appearance. They finally stopped in a small grove of tree's, starting a fire the meal was cooked and eaten in silence. Watch was unnessecary for as they settled into bed and the first watch began. Demons ambushed their camp, lashing out with anything they could, claws, fangs and wicked weapons crafted from God only knows what. The battle was over before it began. Braketh and his men were caught off guard. Many fell where they had slept. Braketh swung his sword in a wide arc cutting down many of the vile creatures. After a long time of fighting the demons retreated disappearing into the woods surrounding the camp. Braketh was the only survivor, the rest had been massacered. Blood soaked the ground, he looked at the bodies of his loyal men. All of them dead. Thrown down like they were mere children. How could a force be that strong as to take out the finest men that Armor had to offer. Now he understood what his father had meant about sending him to his death. He had to get back to his father and warn him of the coming danger. But how he thought, if those beasts attacked again he would not make it. But this new discovery must not go untold.

Chapter VIII: The Final Fight.

Though Braketh longed to fight the Demon Lord and end the siege of Armor. His men did not have strength enough to defend Baldron. They were searching for a more strategical place to fight. Hardened soldiers they all were. No longer were they afraid of this demon menice. Having fought against them for several weeks. They grew accustomed to their harsh ways. To the point of matching the force in skill. They only needed an advantage to win the battle completely. Having left Baldron hours ago, in search of a more defendable spot. One in particular appealed to them the most. It was a small plain, meant for less numbered forces to fight, just as the pass. Left of the plain sat a large lake. So large the other side was not visible. And on the right sat rolling hills. To their backs giant rocks protruded the ground, like sharks teeth ready to bite. This would provide great cover for his men. If retreat was necessary they could flee into the rocks behind or hills on right. Setting up camp within the rocks. Braketh and his men waited for the demon force. To get to Baldron the demons had to pass through this very place. Braketh thought looking around. All the surrounding land is forest and swamp. Rianbron had vanished before the march. Giving no word as to when he would be back. Braketh went to bed early. As did all men, except the sentries on watch.

Chapter VIII: The Final Fight.

The sound of marching woke Braketh. He stepped outside to watch the enemy prepare for the fight to come. A tall figure stood out among the other demons. Braketh knew this was the Demon Lord. Tall and clad in all black armor. Strapped to his back was a giant sword. Marching out infront of the force for all to see. Many of Brakeths men began to whisper. Sight of this foul being made them shake with fear. Some men even fled into the swamps, preferring to die from starvation than a dark creature of this nature. Braketh heard beating drums. Like the beating heart of a man. His men were already set up. Ready to fight against such an evil force. Now the drums began to beat faster and faster. Braketh ready for an attack. They beat even more quickly and then a horn sounded. A dieing elephant amongst their ranks. Silence came next, not even clanking weapons were heard. The Demon Lord unsheathed his giant sword. Raising his weapon, cries came from within the black sea of demons. They smelled the men's fear. Without word, the demons charged forward, their master leading the assault. Braketh ran forward drawing his sword, soldiers followed. The two forces closed in on eachother. Thunder resonated, as the two met, death came swiftly. Men and demon alike let out shrieks of pain. Blood flew, and the once brown earth turned a dark shade of red. Braketh lashed out at them, cutting many down. His archers launched arrows down into the demon ranks from the rocks behind him. But the Demon Lords presence greatly improved the demons strength. They struck harder, moved quicker, and did not show signs of slowing down. Braketh began to look for the Demon Lord. He realized that only with his defeat would he be able to drive back the demon forces. But the Demon Lord was not hiding. Tall and dark, he swung his massive sword into Braketh's men. Slicing them in half, beheading many with a swing of his sword. Braketh saw the massacre and lunged toward the Demon Lord. But Braketh's attack was blocked easily. The Lord struck back, Braketh blocked it, and then another. Fighting raged on around the two great warriors. As they dueled back and forth. Braketh swung for his enemies head, but the Demon Lord blocked it. Sending Braketh staggering backwards. The Lord, seeing his foe hindered attacked. Braketh parried the first but the next hit him on the leg. Falling to one knee, he knew it was over. The Demon Lord raised his weapon. And began to bring it down on Braketh's neck. Suddenly one of Braketh's men jumped at the Lord. But the man fell to the Demon Lord his body ripped to shreds by his giant sword. Braketh struck the Lord on the side of the head. But it did not faze him. Braketh was thrown back by the Demon Lords next attack. And then the lord attacked again. But this one Braketh side stepped. Staggering forward at his miss the Lord was open to attack. Braketh swung at the back of his neck. This time it cut through. Taking the Lords head off. Now the fighting was silenced. Seeing their Lord headless the demons fled. The Demon Lords body collapsed in on itself. And then with a great explosion it errupted, spreading shards of black metal out in all directions. Some of the shards pierced Braketh's armor. He raised his weapon high above his head. And his men began to cheer. "All hail the demon slayer, all hail King Braketh!!!" They raised him up into the air. Chanting it over and over again. Its over he thought, smiling to all of his men. The Lord of Demons was vanquished, now they could rebuild their broken country and live in peace.

Far to the north, sitting on an ancient throne watching the cheering men. Was an old wizard dressed in black. He began to laugh. "Thank you Braketh. Now I can claim rule over the demons. And I promise, you will not survive."
