Because they are not as popular, would be my guess, considering it's the popular games section.

I am going to guess that the rating isn't as high. That is how they figure the popular games.

The Popular Games are games that are usually Armor Games developed that have either done really well, or they know will. For example, Sonny is one of those games that would pretty much get an automatic ride to the Popular Games sections.

I'm still wondering why the sequels seem to replace the old games there, though... Couldn't the list just be longer?

Well Zoph, the new games only shows twelve games, two column of six. So it would only make sense for one extra column of six instead of seven? It looks better, and there is less to load. And no, not all sequels replace the original, only with the ones that are more successful than the originals. The only one that confuses me is GemCraft Chapter 0, the original is better rated, and more played. But Hedgehog Launch 1 is up there, not #2, along with the original Warfare game.

maybe, they look at the other sites where the games are postet and look how often they were played there? i dont know, wether its so or not...
