The whole website is just for fun. So if it was for that reason there shouldnt be any points!!!

You have a point, but at the forum games is easier to spam and post replies about everything at some threads, so for avoiding that they give no points there.

The website for fun, the same goes for points. Many people find them competitive and enjoyable. The reason that we made a section for forum games without armor points is that once upon a time, there was no forum games section, and our general discussion, or "Tavern" forum, was being clogged by people who wanted to play forum games. A lot of people considered this to be kind of spammy, so we made a new forum where you wouldn't earn points, so people could play games that would be regarded as spam elsewhere. We made the forum so that it gave you no AP because earning AP is reserved for posts that require you to contribute something meaningful, like a debate, competition, or poll. Not a meaningless game.

I hope that answers your question.

because posts in the forum games are really unneccesary but just for fun which does not give you points. so there and this should probably get locked. i will ask a mod.

Usually now polls are in the game section. I just wanted to say that.

I'll only lock it if the original poster feels that his question has been answered.

Just to give examples.

Many Forum Games require merely a one word answer, such as the 'Rate the Above User's Fame' or the 'Count to 100' threads, which would be rather pointless based on the reasons tuna mentioned.

I agree with you. But RPGs shouldn't be like this. They should give points, because You don't say 1-7 Words in it. You always copy the sheets, which are basically around 20-30 Words.

I occasionally lock a thread prematurely if it's going off the tracks.

Doesn't matter who did it, though, you can ALWAYS just ask your question directly to a mod. We usually answer, and often with more knowledge about the site in general than the average user.

Do you see the problem now that I bolded that word?

You don't contribute anything by copying large amounts of texts. Spam isn't just spam if it's short. You could copy/paste a huge wad of text into your post, and it could still be spam.

I suppose you haven't seen the story telling RP(G)s in the Art section? They are in the Art section because there is more story writing involved than in forum RPGs.
