gibson is my favorite, the les paul can play almost any type of music (not saying that fenders cannot) and i love the look and feel. despite this i hafta say that they are overpriced, so im gonna have to do with my epiphone for now (still a great guitar!)
and you can make any guitar sound good with one of those... uh, effects things? (the one with the pedals)
Those are called effects pedals.
I personally like Epiphone the best, since it's as good as Gibson, but a fraction of the price.
It all depends on what type of music you like. If you like Metal then you might like a Dean Razorback best. If you like hard rock then an SG is pretty nice, but if you like classic rock a Stratocaster is nice.
I'm gonna go further into this by adding that my favorite amps are Marshall, since they aren't that expensive, but they're better than most other amps.
And my favorite effects pedal brand is Line 6, since they make a lot of multi effects pedals (They have 50+ effects).
I'm more of an Ibanez fan. They're perfect for playing my style of music which is hard rock and metal. I wouls pick the RG in particular because of how easy it is to move up and down the neck and the design is very cool.
Well, the Gibson is better. It looks so awsome anyway.
So, I said Fender is good and inexpensive compared to Gibson. I do like Epiphone, which is the kind of Guitar I have, and it's a lot of fun to play. I also like ESP, best metal guitars ever... I like Gibson, but as I said, their prices are two high.
Ibanez is one that seems really nice, but I haven't had the chance to try it out, so I don't really know exactly how good it is. My brother has one, so I've heard it for a minute (he stopped playing). I would really like to get an Ibanez S Vestige for good shredder solos.
