I prefer the ray gun. It's so much easier to get kills.

WHat kind of question is that RAY GUN....geez untill round 12 flame thrower is good but after that it prevents from seeing the rest zombies and it doesn't kill the fast enough...a panzerscreck would be more efficient!!!!

If the ray gun reloaded better it would be amazing. I like the flame thrower better.

It depends for me, with insta-kill, FLAMETHROWER EPICNESS! But at any other time, Ray gun.

If you cheat and glitch, then Flamethrower. Any other time Ray gun.

Far more effective throughout the game and is more powerful. Flamethrower is only useful in the later levels if you get Insta-Kill.

The Raygun is way better, the flamethrower takes too long to cool down and doesnt kill zombies fast enough but if you have insta-kill the flamethrower is awesome. The raygun is always 1 hit kill and doesnt take long to reload, can be used in last stand and is fast shooting

One is one shot one kill

The other needs concentrated fire on a target for a few seconds in order to kill it.

Unless you have insta-kill, the flamethrower in my eyes is useless.

Ray gun no doubt
its one shot kill and it shoots straight through enemies, which is useful if there is a line of zombies.
The flamethrower blinds your line of sight and lights up the screen. You know whats worse then zombies running after you? Zombies on fire running after you! It doesnt exactly put 'em down as easily so Im going to have to vote Ray Gun

It really depends on the situation. Ray gun is my choice for its one hit kill capabilities in regular situations. However, with the insta-kill on, the flamethrower easily overpowers any weapon.
