For many years the neighbors to the south have faced political turmoil and corruption, with drug wars spilling into the streets of major cities.
Poor, uneducated mexicans and their families cross the border from an unauthorized zone. They will climb mountains, cross rivers, and run from the authorities to make it into the US.
Of course, once they're in they have no money or job. So what do they do? They move into poor communities. They get menial jobs, ones that college students attempt to get. They force teenagers looking for work to quit as they accept lower wages.
Many times, illegals will rape, murder, steal and trade drugs in utter disregard for the rule of the law. They put their undisciplined children into our schools, where they will cause trouble as they have zero interest to learn.
Whose going to take care of them when a crime happens? When they go to jail? When they go to court? When they are hurt? Who pays for their attorneys, their medical bills or their protection when they will break the law at will?
We, the American citizens do. In many states, they get full benefits of citizenship without the extra responsibilities and without paperwork calling them a citizen.
I pay my taxes, I vote, I work hard to put food on the table and keep a roof over my head. Why should my job be stolen from someone who illegally entered this country? Why should my hard-earned money be given to someone who breaks the law?
The constitution says we must guarantee the rights of citizens, not illegals.
We could of a while back during the mexican war, but instead we just took a lot of their land, so yeah. Although i think we should of taken it all
Mehh... No one likes us crazy Americans anyway. Most everyone wonders how the heck we became such a world power.

not the ones paying(although if Pres. Obama's new health care plan goes into effect then yes, that would be the case.). And besides, they do not have the benefits of citizenship. To get that, you must have citizenship papers or a green card or something, and as you said, they don't have that.

Whats the problem with Mexican immigrants? They take jobs no one else wants, supply economic supplement, and rarely break the law, because of their increased punishment rates. It's people like these that made it so hard for my family to get here from Russia back in WW2.
Personally i think it would be easier to cap the mofos as the walk across.
(I kid I kid).

I don't agree with the wall idea. I would be very costly, and America is already very low in money.
lol I would be very costly. Strop, I was just disagreeing with his idea that immigants need to be blocked out by telling him they really aren't a burden.
a walls not gonna keep em out. they'll find other ways to get in.
And besides my other comment(p. 25) I forgot to mention this.
A wall would be completely and utterly useless. You think a barricade of any sort will keep illegal immigrants out? Think again! It'd be a total waste of time and money in a swiftly sinking economy.
What happens when the 'wall' gets to the coast? I dunno about you, but I've seen some pictures, and its just abounch of telephone poles stuck upright in the sand that goes about 6 inches into the water. I'd quite happily get my feet weet to get into the US...
And building a wall is just pointless. There are better ways to do this, using resources we already have. Like predator, smoothing out sand with tires, and patrols. Ofcourse, in the economy, building a wall would help generate jobs, but where would the Government get the money? Were already a 1 TRILLION dollars in debt...
1. A barrier is already being built (although not one across the entire border, but pretty close.)
2. Yes it would be costly, but so is paying auto companies billions of dollars so that they can go on vacation. Which do you think is more important?
3. Of course it would help. Sure drug runners and desperate aliens will get through, but it will still hinder them. Think of it this way: A group of 20 illegals are in a convoy of trucks heading north, when they come to the border. A) Nothing is there-They just drive on and maybe the Border Patrol sees them. B) A fence/wall is between us and the border. They have to spend extra time finding out how to get through it, getting through it, and making sure all 20 immigrants are through. And if they get through unnoticed through all that time sitting in the open they'll still leave evidence which will point straight to them.
4) You can bet it will send a message to the Mexicans.
Just a few reasons.
Uhh, another reason a wall wouldn't work very good is because of these real snazzy gizmos I like to call ladders.
