I read in the listof items that there are "random drops" from monsters. I just wondered if I went and fought the hydra a bunch, would I get Poisedon's Fury eventually or if it preset.

I'm not sure, I've only ever received emerald shards and the emerald death from the hydra. I would recommend you stick to training fights. That's how I got my Poseidon's Fury.

Poseidons fury isnt that rare of a drop, and its only usefull if you are a electric psycho(as far as I know) but if you already beat the hydra you should get the primary wep with good lighting piercing in the pawn shop for zone 5 and add to that the lightning shock secondary wepeon from the shop in zone 2, the only for poseidens fury to be usefull is really if you get it early in zone 4.

I didn't really worry with the Poseidons fury because I don't really like psycho though. I like bio better. Well I do have a psycho account but it's on easy though anyway I got the Poseidons fury with it
