There is only one timezone in AG which is weird because everybody lives in different places. So my idea is that we can pick it in our control panel. look at the screen shot below:
Yes, The four minute difference is a glitch that has been happening to me occasionally since I joined the site. I had asked Estel about it last year... I think it was Estel. Anyway, it's not permanent, really nothing to worry about. Comment times will change back to the right times after an hour or so. Not old comments made, but new comments posted on your messenger. Sadly, if it hasn't been fixed in the year that I have been here, I doubt it will be fixed. Though, the headquarters has most likely been trying.
As to your suggestion, it has been suggested before, and most likely this thread will get a link to it, so I'm not going to bother with searching. Lucky for me, I live by EST, so AG time has always been the same time as I have. I just find it funny that AG time is EST when the headquarters is in South California. I do like the idea though, seeing as it could get confusing, and 90% of sites have it, so its very common, and wouldn't make AG significantly similar to any other site. Nor do I see it increasing lag, the only way I could see there being lag is when you open your control panel, but that shouldn't be a big deal. Uh... I prolly got ninja'd from making this long post. :<

Well i thought that too because i live near the armor games office. I thought it would be my time.
I'll have to agree with you to have Timezones.
Although we could easily do the maths and work out our timezone (AG is 5 hours behind to my time), this idea still could be useful as we do not have to do all the hard work. Like Cholokid says, I see no way this could cause lag, so I guess we wouldn't have lag problems when we add this feature.
What we do have to make sure, though, is that when we are reporting a comment to a mod, and we want to put the time as well, we would have to post the timezone. This is not really too bad, but it could easily be forgotten to post. So I guess this is a con to one of this feature.
However, I do not think this feature would be coming out soon since AG has many glitches, and I'd guess this feature could have glitch on it.
Oh and are you sure your computer time is set correctly, possibly it could be that, or yes it could be a glitch on AG.
No it not my computer. The time is 3 hours ahead of mine. It just that's when i decided to take the screen shot.
Come on 4 minutes doesnt count much but I also think that the timezone should be able to pick by the player!!!
Well, it does get annoying, and it is a glitch, so yeah, it counts. Why the 3 exclamation points, I hardly see that as a statement that needs to be yelled.
Also, I just checked, and Carlie had actually made a thread about being able to change the time to your specific time zone, and that she would look into it. Seeing as that was back in January 2008, I'm not sure if anything will be done about it, and if there is something being done, it is most likely being worked on right now. Also I just read a statement made by Asherlee back in February 2008, saying that once we get forum updates, it will most likely be included. Now the statements I have found do not make it a fact that it will be put into the site, and as they are from over a year ago, the chances are even less likely. But, they have been thinking about it, or had at one point.

Its not glitch it the actual fact there is only one timzone and it's 3 hours difference and not just 4min. i wouldnt be complaining inf it was just 4 min.
Ah, the second picture shows that. The first one only led me to believe that it was four minutes. Which is also a glitch. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Not much more can be said other than wait and see if the forum updates come with the time zone option. But it is not fail, AG was made that way on purpose. But it is odd. xD

Yes i would not think i would have this problem considering I LIVE IN IRVINE!!!!!
The time zone thing really isn't a big deal. All sites use server time. Has there ever been a circumstance where you just have to know what time someone left you a shout?
