I have to be up at 6:30 in the morning for it but it's so gonna be worth it. I'm mainly looking forward to seeing Henderson knock out Bisping but I'm also curious to see how human Frank Mirs face will look after Brock Lesnars had 5 rounds with it. If he makes it the whole way through that is. Anybody else excited?
I like violence, which gives a little insight into how TV and video games have changed children, but I don't like death. I love UFC because people get injured, but I have never seen someone get killed.
It's not really about seeing people get hurt. Unless you hate specific fighters (I hate Mir and Bisping). Like football or baseball or any other sport it is a display of technical abillity in something you apreciate and enjoy.
I'd go with Xavier on that one. Seeing the different fighting styles clash can be very interesting. Although sometimes people do get very hurt in UFC, most of the matches I've seen were won through pinning the opponent and then stopped by the referee.
Even with knock outs, when you'er very into the sport there are correct ways to connect the strikes, angles to hit at and all of that stuff so even knock outs are a testament to the fighters skill.
It just finished like 15 minutes ago... OH MY GOD IT WAS AWESOME! Michael Bisping got smashed, it was good to se him asking where he was and what had happened...
Brock Lesnar needs to remember he's not in the WWE anymore, you don't have to be an ass to the guy your fighting just because. It's about the skill not the drama. But Mir's face looked totally gone anyway after the end which was about a minute into round 2. Also my favourite amature CB Dollaway lost which was sad but you can't win 'em all. Anybody else see it?
I just worry that 1.) Brock Lesnar will start a trend of WWE showmen retiring and trying to get into the heavy weight division in boxing and UFC. Also, that's just it. He's a beast. He is the heaviest in the division and he's also got nothing but strength. Even on the ground he grabbed Mir by the neck and held him in place while he punched him. Plus I lost respect for him at the start and end of the fight. He denied Mirs glove tap, which I think is so lame. And at the end Mir said he faugth well and congratulated him but still he had to shout at him like a wanker.
I mean, sure, it happens alot. But alot of the time when it happens both of the fighters hate eachother and niether of them lift their gloves to begin with. But yeah, if the other person is offering there obviously isn't much rivalry beyond him trying to give a show. Which is lame.
really? are you his trainer? not to sound angry, but cerial?
Uhhh if you have watched any fights when Brock is on the ground in a submission or being hit he cant do much hes still new to UFC and hes not good at everything yet, I'm a fan of him i'm not saying he sucks in anyway I want him to hold the title for a good time.
