Pokemon fails. Every new season includes a "new continent" or "new island" and brand spanking new Pokemon that came out of nowhere. And plus every five seconds a character is moaning out of shock, which makes it sound like a hentai video rather than a kid's program. The first two seasons were awesome in my opinion, then the extra 15 seasons were just overkill.
Yu-Gi-Oh is still around? Holy crap I thought the whole card based cartoon show was scrapped back in 2004.
I think that the yugioh card game is about 20 million times better due to many different reasons. I think both shows are alright, but I think that the pokemon games are defiantly better then the yugioh ones.
From my point of view, I would score it like this:
Card Game: Yu-Gi-Oh TV shows: -tie- Video Games: Pokemon

Pokemon, of course! But the show is not "alright", it just sucks, when you watch it now...It was "alright" when we are kids, but now it's just a shame... But I'm not objective, it was all my childhood, and I can't deny it...I'm doooomed!!!
I don't like neither now, but Pokemon are better, Yu-Gi-Oh is too repetitive they do always the same things, an evil ancient force has been released and he stops it.
Pokemon. I used to wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning to watch Yu-gi-oh. But it fails to entertain me now. Pokemon has better games too. And at least Pokemon has a better show.
Pokemon was better in the tv series and the video games but in the card games Yu-Gi-Oh wins that category. The yu-gi-oh tv series fails after the second season. Now they duel on motocycles? Who came up with that lame idea?
The original Pokemon show was so much better than the crap they have on now and the games are so much better. Besides which would you rather have a little monster to control or a deck of cards?
