On Thursday, December 30th, 2012, all was peaceful. On December 31st, a solar flare hit. A week later, technology and a perfect paradise had become a memory. 60 days later, there was a burning mass floating in space, and the earth and the entire human race had become a memory. Survive for 60 days before the next solar flare hits.
Classes:
Raider: Cruel and viscious, they have succumbed to immorality and terrible vices. They scour the wasteland, seeking to loot the weak and kill and enslave the rest. Weapons: Knives, Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers, Shotguns, Nail Boards, Clubs
Soldier: Once part of the U.S. Military, soldiers work to fend off raider attacks and ensure the safety of innocent survivors. Weapons: Pistols, Combat knives, Machine Guns, Shotguns, Rocket Launchers, Grenades, Rifles
Survivor: Merely a survivor, you seek to live as long as you can in a violent "Fire Age." Take a stand against raiders and fight for your life. Weapons: Rifles, Shotguns, whatever can be found
Scientist: The last remaining scientists on Earth have vowed to find a way to stop the next solar flare, but are quickly running out of time. Weapons: Pistol
Character sheet:
Health: 100 Class: Equipment: None Weapons: (Depends on class.) Inventory: None Group Members:
You cna form groups with other people if they are the same class as you. There is no limit to the people who can join.
You hit the zombie square in the chest, and it reels back in surprise and pain. You follow it up with an expert shot to the head with satisfying results. His head explodes in a fountaining of blood from the neck, splattering blood on your chest. Its decapitated corpse falls crumpled at your feet. What do you do now?
Master Scientist ou find no survivors. Instead you make and audio log. "...to anyone who finds this...I am a sole survivor of Solar Research Facilities after the devestating solar flare. And I've got bad news. Another, much larger solar flare shall hit in 60 days. I shall seek out other surviving scientists and make an effort to find a way to stop the solar flare by some means. It won't be easy, but this is our last stand. This, will be our legacy..."
You go back inside the facility and check the computer A.I. Shiva's data log. "Show me the recording of December 30th, the day of the solar flare." Your response is "...data corrupted. New processing chip needed to restore missing data to mainframe." The last chip was in an electro-magnetic vault deep within the facility, locked away and kept at sub zero temperatures. But before you can gain access, you'll need the access codes...
Okay Riou so you leave the cave and head away from the mountains. You find yourself heading back towards the dead convoy. Just to be sure, you check to see if any of the vehicles are still functioning. To your surprise, a badly damaged APC is still up and running. Now, you can make better progress with better protection. The APC's cannon is still full of ammo and the rockets as well. Where do you go?
Okay so Master Scientist you begin your search for the access codes. They are somehwere within a filing cabinet in the experimentation room. You head over there. However, something isn't right. All of the vats containing experiments are empty, and the experiments gone. Some of them were very dangerous. This could be a problem. You pull out your pistol and creep cautiously through the room. No sign of any experiments so far. You open the filing cabinet and rifle through the files until you find the one containing the access codes. But before you leave, the door leading into the room is closed and locked, preventing your escape. "Emergency protocol initiated." The A.I. Shiva says. "Area contained. It would be unwise to allow a breakout in the facility. You of all people should know that Master Scientist." This could be bad. The only way out is through the air duct in the ceiling. That will take you back to the main lab. But you can't help but wonder, what could the breakout be...?
The breakout was a pathogen that had been exposed to high levels of radiation. The pathogen was designed and created by Dr. Grunt, strange name, but brilliant mind. His pathogen was designed to cure radiation poisoning, but instead caused mutation and a disruption of the genetic code. All that have been subjected to the pathogen have become horrible results, strange distorted abominations who have lost their ability to reason and are highly radioactive. They don't pose a threat really, but Shiva seems to be doing some suspicious activity involving the pathogen. Any ways you use a ladder to reach the air duct. While it is dark, you navigate your way back to the main lab. With the access codes you take the elevator down to sector 0, one floor below the ground. There you will be able to access the electro magnetic vault.
Okay so to enter the electro magnetic vault you will need to use a mech suit, since it has been cooled to sub zero temperatures. Piloting the mech suit, you enter the vault and retrieve the chip. Then, you immediately exit the vault and head back to the main lab via the elevator.
Shiva has locked down the facility, rendering escape impossible. The only way to escape the facility is to activate Shiva's self destruct system. By doing that, you kill Shiva and you can escape but you will not discover how you were a lone survivor. Or, you can give Shiva the chip which would repair the mainframe and tell you how you survived. However, the facility would still be in lock down and you would have to find another way to escape, which could take a while. Which do you choose?
