MS Paint is a free program for the amatuer artists. It doesn't allow much detail. WRONG! Here are some Tips and Tricks that can make your MS Paint look great.
Trick 1:
Custom Cursors
You think that you can only use 1 set of 6 cursors, and they have to be one color at a time. Wrong. This tip shows you how to make your own cursor.
First you draw a square or rectangle. Made of any colors you'd like. Take this for example:
Then you select the rectangle, and hold down shift. Keep holding down shift and click the picture with your mouse. While holding down shift and the left-click, drag it around and see what you can do!
Look what I made =D
Trick #2
Undo
If you mess up drawing and image and you want to undo it, you can? This one most people probably know, but in case you don't here you go.
Say you drawing a banana:
You doing great so far
Still goin' smooth
Now for the finishing touch
Your almost done but you have a spaz attack and the pictures a distaster.
To undo the last move you press ctrl+z then you can try again.
Trick 3
I'm not sure what to call it
Say your drawing a box.
And you decide you want to change the outline to yellow. But the diagnol lines are all tiny pixels that aren't completely connected. So you have to zoom in to x8 and fill each one seperately. Wrong. There is a way to change just the black very easily. Left-click black, and right-click yellow. Then click the eraser tool. Hold down the right click and just scribble all of the black lines. In about 5-10 seconds you get this:
This works with any situation. The left click color is the color you want to erase, and the right click is the color to replace it. Then you just use the eraser while holding down the right click.
Tip #4
Grid
A lot of time you draw pictures with lots of detail, and its hard to line up the pixels right. Unless you have the grid on. If you zoom in to x6 or x8, you can use the grid. All you do is press ctrl+G.
ha i didnt know any of that!. Thank you, but i still might just get photoshop.. But wow until then I will use ms paint. I gonna be able to make a lot more stuff.
My biggest tip to anyone using MS would be to learn how to use a better art program! Seriously though, as someone who can't be bothered to learn GIMP or anything like that, this is actually pretty cool. Changing the outline colour will be especially useful to me. Cheers! All those hours wasted on x8 zoom *sobs*
