Go ahead, and ask me any Christianity question you have, and I will do my best to answer it.

I am a Reformed Presbyterian Christian.

Rules: no spamming, no flaming, and no cussing

ok, now that we have that covered, ask away.

Shouldn't this be in the world events, politics & religion section?

Okay, I'll ask something - what's a Presbyterian?

Why the majority of bad persons (from the Christian view) aren't punished during their life?

I've got a question:

So: If god answers prayer, and people sometimes pray to god to return their family members or friends in good health when they get sick, or have cancer, or are in surgery - and god sometimes answers those prayers by healing them, and sometimes he doesn't answer their prayers, and those people die...

When you have someone that has had a limb amputated & they pray to god to return their lost limb, and praying for a new limb *never* works, does that mean god hates amputees?

Presbyterian is a sub group of Christianity. and yes, Presbyterian is a loose term for people who follow some of the ideas of john Calvin, martin Luther, and so on.

So you guys believe you are not worthy to god?

I have no Idea what you just said..

Does God exist >???? And prove it.

yes, God exists. There are so many examples, I would need to be specific. Such as, the creation around you. is it hard to believe that all the beautiful world around you was created by random chance? But again, I say, I need a specific question as the question, does God exist, is a very broad topic.

Why the majority of bad persons (from the Christian view) aren't punished during their life?

That is because a great many 'bad people (sinners)' are not punished during their life. for example. there is a sinner of a man, and then a christian man. The christian man is punished greatly in his life, but the sinner man has a good life on earth. but when the time comes for God to divide the Christians from the unbelievers, that is when the sinner man on earth will be judged. and if he sinned and did not repent, he will go to hell, that that is how he will be rewarded for his sin on earth. Eternal death in Hell. But the man who was good but had a hard time on earth, will be with God in Heaven.

So: If god answers prayer, and people sometimes pray to god to return their family members or friends in good health when they get sick, or have cancer, or are in surgery - and god sometimes answers those prayers by healing them, and sometimes he doesn't answer their prayers, and those people die...

No it does not. God has a plan, a wonderful plan, but yet, a plan we don't know of. A verse in the bible says, 'God works all things out for our good.' Now, how that good looks or how it works can be hidden or shown. In example, William Tyndale, a man of God, Broke the law and created a translation of the bible he was not supposed to. The king then executed him, but before he died, he prayed to God to open the ears of the king. Years later, the king declared that translation lawful, and opened it up for anyone to read lawfully. So, God answered his prayer but not in the way that we would have hoped.

So, God answers prays in the way he finds best, but the way he finds best is in our best interest. we just need to continue to follow him fully.

Hmm here is one for you

In the christian belief you are not allowed to have an abortion right?
Also if you are sincerely rependant and you ask god for forgiveness he will forgive you no matter the circumstances right?

... So if you are sincerely rependant about the fact that you got pregnant - and here goes my question - why can't god forgive you that? it is contradictory as i read it.

(I bet there is several grammar mistakes etc. in the above text but i hope you get the point)

Is this the second time you have made this thread?

Anyway...

001:001 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

001:002 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was
upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon
the face of the waters.

001:003 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Why did God create the Earth and Heavans before light? surely it would make more sense to turn on the light bulb before you do something like make everything.

Why would you turn the lights on if there's nothing there?

But if you know you are about to put something there... I know God is all seeing but I would want to see what I'm making as I make it not see the finished thing afterwards.

Who knows if it took him the whole day to make it, or a nanosecond to make it? That is what is sort of confusing.

I mean of course if it took the whole day then it makes sense. But he just said "Let there be [insert item here]" and so it was.

if a person is not christian (i.e. atheist, hindu, etc.) will they go to hell even if he/she was a good person on earth?

if god created such a complex world, and in the bible he can talk to ppl, then why didnt he explain science to evryone from the beggining? why did we have to find so much out for ourselves?

why does the bible mention nothing about dinosaurs or oher prehistoric life?

did god create time or was that already there?

i know thats a lot to answer so u can just pick one if u want. or u could just ignore this comment.
