Personally i don't like seeing the Evony Ads. Some of them are ok but some of them just show too much skin. Its disturbing to see that and its not good for young minds to see. What I'm asking is if you can remove these ads and replace them with different ads. The Evony ads are the only disturbing ones I've seen so far. I know ArmorGames makes there money from these ads but couldn't they get money from other ads?
To start off, any user on AG should be at least 13. All ads on AG are PG13, so you should be old enough to handle it. And disturbing.....not my word of choice. Unless you are repulsed by skin?
If you have an utmost serious concern you can try to talk to AG, but they take money where they can. And any member should be able to withstand the horrors (lol) of skin revealment.
That's not what i meant by skin revealment. But couldn't ArmorGames just replace them with different ads. And i am not repulsed by skin. But what if someone isn't a user but they play the games on here and they are younger than 13. They would still see the ads.
I don't really think that the effect the site that much. Unless you are a perv that looks all ove the site for those adds. They don't affect me I mean I just play the game or comment on the profile and continue with my AG browsing.
It would help to post a screenshot when you're complaining about an ad. I think I know the ones you're talking about though. They're kind of annoying since my mom would go crazy if she saw them (oh no I'm on some porn site!!!!) but otherwise it's fine. Like others have said, just get Firefox and that ad blocker.
Ok I'll see if i can get those and my mom would freak to that's the point. And Gagamen what you said would be objectifying (treating someone like they aren't human, like an object) So Gagamen you would be objectifying women in that matter.
My mom saw 'em. She didn't say nothing about them though, I could tell she was a bit unnerved about how much cleavage the object was showing. I think it's just sad to see Evony and games like that sink to the low of having to show almost-naughty images to get players.
Ok i also was wondering how to block ads to that matter because I'm not that good with that stuff. I have Firefox someone mentioned something about that earlier.
I downloaded the ad blocker and it works great. It blocks the ads on games. But the ads on the homepage is still there. Guess, I'll just have to avoid it.
Anybody who wants to block ads you need to get Mozilla Firefox, Then go to tools-->add-ons--> then a screen will pop up and there is stuff, then in the search box type Ad Blocker and then download it. (it's free)
