It seems that we are in some scary times now, but the worst may be yet to come.

In May of this year, there are very serious talks of a National ID card being issued. This card may replace a drivers license, may be required to board an airplane, enter a Federal building, etc.. Further down the road it could be required to get a job, buy food and other such every day activities.

Not far behind in the creepy factor are radio-frequency ID chips. These are being used in some big retailers nowadays on items. It could be used, combined with the National ID card or a human ID chip, to see everything that someone buys. Some of these RFIs can be as small as a grain of sand, and could someday be found in every item bought it America. Thus, the government could have a list of what you own in your house, and potentially the layout of your house.

On a different note: The Federal Reserve. Which is not part of the government at all. It is a privately owned bank that issue money to the government. And where does this money come from? Thin air, of course. Which is why the American dollar is slowly becoming more and more worthless. Back in the early days, paper money could be traded in for the listed amount of gold backing the bills. So, a twenty-dollar bil would get you twenty-dollars worth of gold. There are even speculations that all the gold in Fort Knox is no longer there.

Talking about money....There is no law requiring American citizens to pay income tax. By filling out the paper work and such, you are volunteering to pay the government for working. The IRS has the power to take all of your belonings and freeze your accounts if they feel the need to. And there is nothing you can do to stop them. People have won in the past by going to courts and stating that there is no actual law requiring them to pay taxes. Some of them even got up to the Supreme Court level which deemed that there is constitutional basis for the taxes. Yet people who have tried in recent years get shut-out, and many courts will not even acknowlede that Supreme Court decision. As a result, some people have lsot everything or sent to prison for thirty years. All for commiting a non-crime.

Personally, I wil refuse the National ID card when it is issued. The full power of it will not be in effect for a few years, so I will still atleast be able to drive. I would not pay income taxes if I was not scared senseless of being losing everything and being thrown in jail. If ten years ago you asked me if all of the fiction that Orwell wrote would come true, I would say that there would not be a snowball's chance in hell. But now..I am not all that sure.

Anyone who would trade freedom for safety deserves neither.

A classic example of a lamb led to the slaughter. Besides, that has little to know relevence to what I am talking about.

And these is a a difference between chosing between freedom or safety...and standing up for what is right and your rights.

America is one step away from pulling a page from the Nazi handbook: Asking to see your papers wherever you go. Which was one thing that Americans criticized and could not fathom.

But hey, you know. It is up to the individual if they want to go through life blind and ignorant thinking that they are living the life...or actually stop for a second, think and question who is pulling the strings. In a country with a gov't that is of, for and by the people..the people seems to have very little say or idea what is going on.

In most cases I wouldn't mind this, but I truly don't trust the government. I know it can be manipulated and has an abundant supply of greedy folk. As long as we have capitalism, our government is weak. To see them attempt total control on us is pitiful; they don't even have total control over themselves.

Just to think if you have one of those chips the governement has your every move. So it will be imposible for people to have privacy, just imagine them tracking your every move with a GPS? now thats scary, i would rather live in a therd world country where i would have to grow my own food and fend for myself.

Devoidless, that sentence I wrote previously has EVERYTHING to do with what you wrote paragraphs about.

What do you think the vehicle will be that is used to sell the idea of a National ID card, etc... etc... to the public? Safety.

Wow, is all that really going to happen? That just seems like something that I would of never thought would happen. That National ID and requiring it to get jobs and stuff, just seems really pointless to me, but I guess they are just trying to keep it safe, especially with the plane thing. I have a question, do you absolutely need one of those IDs to get on a plane in the future, because what about the perople coming into this contry legally. Are they going to make them get an Id thing too, and when, as soon as the get off the plane?

Dragon: Maybe that one about the ID chips and cards. You, well, kind of left all the rest of my points out.

Yes, it is really going to happen.

As far as the illegals go. they will probably get one also. Just because that is the way the gov't is. Also, a lot of governments seem to be pushing for eliminating individual contries and making them all into a new world order.

No. You, once again, seem to be misinformed.

The taxes and Federal Reserve have been around for a very long time now. Which, it seems, no one here seems to care about.

The ID chips are being used today on many items.

The National ID card has been backed by an equal amount of people from all over the field. When it comes down to it, it does not matter if a member of the gov't is a Democrat, Republican or what have you. They all belong to the same system, and all work for the same main goals.

Here's the solution - I'll make my own country in Antarctica! (If you believe Al Bore, it will be a nice place to live by the time I would want to buy a house)

I read someone else about this and it would take only 6 months until these cards would be "hacked" imagine the affect of this total identity theft. Also I believe there's something in the bible about this happening not sure though...
