First two: They're knights, possibly crusaders. If someone is THAT offended by the implication of Christianity, I personally think they need to lighten up a bit. No one's forcing them to use those images, after all. It'd be like flaming someone because, oh noes!, they're a Christian, we can't tolerate them! (And for the record, we had a dreidel armatar back around Christmas. Jewish thingy. No one complained.)
Third: I think you're seeing it wrong, it's not going through him, he's holding it. If you look at it closely, you can see the staff part of the spear all the way, which you obviously wouldn't be able to if it had actually gone through him. That, and I'm not even sure that is a spear. Might just be an odd staff.
Fourth: If you're gonna be offended by random devil/demon-esque figures, you should probably stay away from flash games.
I see your arguments, but unless you yourself is saying you're offended by them, I'm pretty sure we've never had any complaints about any of the armatars being offensive.
1st: Crusader? possibly not, could havej ust been one of many flags symbolizing things 2nd:midevil helmets, theres so many designs. How else would the knight talk without a slit of somesort, and its a nice visor for the eyes, meant to be protectice, i doubt they tried to make it a cross
3rd: hes holding it, and theirs already been a case on indians rights and heritages, which almost cost my schools mascot, so your arguments not going anywhere
4th: Its the 21st century, you see things like that in video games nowadays. Why not have one on a gamesite?
I seriously think some people just look for excuses to find something offensive nowadays. OK look the first two do look like Crusaders which were a part of medieval history. Even if it does imply the cross I seriously don't see how someone could find that offensive. Honestly during the holiday armatar contest we had armatars of people praying, and religious symbols and no one complained then. As far as the other two are concerned, you are mistaken on the supposed Indian as others have already stated, and the final one is not a devil. It came with an element themed group of armatars. That one is fire, the one with the spear, as well as the armatar I am using right now are both Earth based armatars. It is in no way supposed to be satanic or anything like that.
You think those are offensive? That's just the slightest reference to anything, and it's not really a reference to religion or anything at all. Just a symbol. Did you see the holiday armatars? And nobody complained about those.
1/2 I don't think that are offensive, they are just crusaders /off topic inter got sued for having a cross on the shirt/ 3 I think he is something like Incas or Maya warrior 4 he looks like a superhero/super-villain p.s. the link is quite interesting, it's worth reading
Few, (if any) would be offended by the mere sight of a cross. For crying out loud, it's just a ross! The Crusades were simply a part of history and since this website IS Armor Games, you could expect to see a few crusaders.
If one finds a cross offensive, wouldn't they find armatars of people praying to be offensive too?
To me, the third armatar looks like a man, holding something resembling a spear.
Well, Crimson said that the fourth armatar is in now way related to anything satanic. I've seen a flash game more satanic looking than that armatar.
In the end, these are just armatars. According to what everyone else said, no one found anything concerning the armatars to be offensive. I'd laugh if someone was offended by anyone of the armatars available on this site.
Or are insulted by my current one because it looks like a monk
It is just a monk. For I all know, it just looks like a robed man reading a scroll. There are no references to Christianity or monks in that armatar. Is there anyone offended by scrolls?
Joking? Oh.. Well, I have nothing else to say. If someone is truly offended by anyone of the armatars on this site, why don't you do something better. There are much more offensive things than the armatars.
