Lucio the Brazilian national's football team defender, of which he is the captain moved to Italian club Internazionale, signing a three-year contract with the Serie A champions. He is widely considered as Brazil's best central defender and a key member of the Brazilian squad's defense. He also contributes in attack, frequently making runs into the opponent's half using his technique and aerial ability to full effect.

The USA national seems to be way better than the last years, has some experienced players (Donovan, Bocanegra, Howard) and some very talented players (Altidore, Adu, Michael Bradley). I think that they have a good chance of going well at the 2010 World cup.

Diego Milito from Genoa (striker)
Thiago Motta fro Genoa (midfielder)
Kerlon from Chievo (midfileder)
David Suazo (loan end)

They almost managed to win, but in the second half the US didn't play well.

South African Cup.

The confederations cup? (or am I getting things mixed up)

Kerlon from Chievo (midfileder)

He is a good talent but he won't get very far with his "seal dribble". I almost dread to think what will happen to him when he comes up against some Italian defenders lol

what do you think about john terry going to manchester city? They already have a wealth of attacking options so a defender of his calibre (if they can lure him away) would be great.

There is an Argentinean defender who tackles with the head, but I can't find the video. ):
Chelsea will try keeping Terry, my opinion is that without him Manchester City will remain a uefa cup team (now Europa League). Manchester will score probably many goals, but their defense (except Given) and midfield don't look very reliable when have to defend.

The Mayor of London in a charity football game (not quite the same thing)

I think without a decent defense confidence might get low so even the strong attack won't be able to score. They'll just loose their edge. However Richard Dunne is quality at times (though he holds a joint record of most red cards,8) and I was a fan of Micah Richards though he had a poor season last year (and now has Swine Flu )

That was very painful. ):
Manchester City has:
1 Left back Wayne Bridge
1 Right back Pablo Zabaleta
2 Center Backs (Dunne/Richards)
4 defenders (5 with Onuoha who is always injured) aren't enough for a team which wants to at least go to the Champions League.
