The best athlete ever was Sergey Bubka - pole vaulting. He broke the world record 35 time, most of those record were his own. He showed how important technique is in sport.
Lance Armstrong? HAHAHAHAH He's a joke... He heal from a cancer, and, just like that, he wins 7 Tour de France? Come on guys, you know cyclism is not sport anymore, it's just drugs... Michael Phelps is really impressive... Usain Bolt too, by the way...

Okay, so it seems as though these comparisons seem to be between different sports. But how can a great slugger be compared with a great wide receiver? I don't know, but I think it should be a bit more like this:
Randy Moss vs Peyton Manning
Kobe Bryant vs LeBron James
Albert Pujols vs Prince Fielder
It may still not be the best comparison, but at least this time it's comparing athletes of the same sport.
I am the best athlete of the world No that's not true I am just one of the best. Also Ronaldinho after 2007 stopped playing well and at Milan is like a ghost, he is even worst than Ambrosini.
Josh Beckett should be voted more. He is a nasty pitcher... I'm not a Sox fan, but he is amazing. I also agree with Ernie15 that the polls should be athlete in sport against another athlete in that sport.
On my polls, I'd vote Peyton, LeBron, and Pujols. Here's why - Being a quarterback is much more stressful than being a wide receiver. - LeBron James has less experience and is still of comparable skill with Kobe. - Would you pick Prince Fielder over Albert Pujols?
