lol hello everyone I thought i would just share some of my tips on how to get rid of lag.

1# first thing i do when games start to lag is go ctrl+alt+delete and then go processors (i might of spelt that wrong) then select the browser ur running like firefox.exe or iexplore.exe and set its priority to high if u have a slow computer and real time if u have a fast computer.

2# set the quality of the game to low (which u all probably know how to do)

3# close all other unneccesary programs. for example if a add comes up in another window it could greatly increase lag.

4# u see those icons next to where ur time is displayed. yer well get rid of as many of them as possible . i mean dont quit ur firewall or do somthing dumb like that but if u have quicktime running in background or other annoying appliances just right click and go to exit or quit or wateva

5# finally get Tune up utilities 2009 trial version. It probably doubled my computer speed overall and it helps rid ur computer of errors, unwanted shortcuts, programs that u forgot where installed and gives u lots of recomendations on how to speed up ur pc.

sorry of my spelling lol and if u have any other good tips of getting rid of the extremely annoying thing called lag plz leave a comment.

note: i use XP some of these tips wont work on other operating systems.

You can overclock your computer to get faster speeds like from 2.4 GHz to 3.2 GHz but I wouldn't reccomend that you do it. Only true proffesionals shoud even attempt to do it. And if you look it up and do it and completely screw the hell out of your computer you can't blame me.

#5 seems reasonable. I might try that.

yes, I tried #1, and it worked very well, I didn't know you could do that, and I might try #5, too. Thank you very much.

But usually i use my computer for homework and Games.

I do take care of my computer though, giving it diskcleanup and stuff every week or so oh and that reminds me another good way to get ur computer running faster is to get UltraDefrag, basically it is a really powerfull disk defragmentor

I may try number 5, it sounds good. I have used everything else including number 1. Though, I might as well wait until I am able to get a faster PC.

real time if u have a fast computer.

I wouldn't exactly recommend using real time. Always freezes my PC.

Clear cache.
Right click on game > Settings > Drag slider all the way to the right.

Another thing you can do is empty your trash. It helped me with the lag on Raze. I can now go to the second highest quality with no lag!! =)

I didn't think to do some of those. This guide is good, but I guess that you'd have to fix some of the spelling and grammar if your going for the sticky.

Clearing your cache every once in a while is not a bad idea as well. You would be surprised how much lag can come from the data your storing!

you can try using gamebooster. It really help out playing games where there are a lot of stuff moving on the same screen.

Yes, but wouldn't that erase all my data on all the games I play on the Internet that do does not need a Internet connection?
