Maybe that block feature could just be used on your profile? The block user featrue would have to not allow people who are blocked to posts on the person profile.
Yeah, the main problem with flamewars is that they typically go on in the profile comment section. If it is implemented, I would want it so You could just block people from posting on your profile.
But if it is made, I highly doubt it will be anytime soon. The site staff is very busy.
Yea, tat is what I mean/ The Mods can handle with them in the Forums, and we can block whoever we want from our profiles except for the Mods, etc. It makes it easier on them and for us too.
Well if you blocked them, would you still be able to post on their profile? And there should be an ignore, so you just can't see someones posts at all.
Nah, I don't like the ignore. Because they still post, but they are invisible to yoo and you only. Other users can see the posts and thy will aslo get points. And if you are blocking a user, why would you want to post back on their profile?
Could work but then so many we could just block off so they'll never see us/ also what if they wanted your forgiveness or to explain themselves, well they can't while being blocked.
oh bloody hell, if you have a problem with someone constantly posting crap on your profile, disable commenting for awhile until they forget about the ordeal, sheesh, many people have deactivated commenting on their profile. also if someone is leaving random spam or (like donut before he was banned, well... I hope he was) leaving inappropriate material on your comments, report it, it ain't that big of an ordeal.
1) Get the block button. It will block the use from commenting on your profile. Easy as that. If they want your forgiveness, too bad. Whats done is done.
2) Keep the spam or whatever there. Tell a mod about it and youll have the evidence to back it up and the user may get what he deserves.
