This is an example of why we (as a species) should be more environmentally responsible for reasons other than "global warming". It also further demonstrates how "global warming" is a misnomer beyond the parodies of rednecks saying "so that means I won't have to buy snow jackets anymore?" And that's significant, because it shows a much broader, stronger case than "the earth's getting warmer" exists. If such points could be extended past the politicised arena of "humans are/are not responsible for the Earth 'warming up'", perhaps there would be even more room for headway.

Anyway, I don't really believe in global warming but i've always said that we should reduce/eliminate pollution because regardless if it causes global warming it harms the environment in so many other ways. I mean who wants to go walkin' around with a dead baby arm attached to their face or rolling around in a wheelchair with dead legs? I'd have to eat a bullet if that happened to me.

Any-who, I say that the fastest way to get rid of the production of so many pollutants is with a socialised economy; the people could control, through the joys of democracy, what get's to the assembly line! With more efficient cars comes less pollution and slightly higher IQ scores!

the people do decide what comes to the assembly line right know. they vote it with their wallets. if more people would care about the environment, they would invest in hybrid cars and the production of these would increase, whereas the production of classic cars would decrease. in order to stay in the market all car producers would have to built enviromental cars or get bancrupt. so do not blame a system. change your hummer or muscle car for a prius
