Ok, the title is rubbish...

But I wanted to start a topic about your experiences of bands in live...
Which one has influenced you, which band have you seen live and impressed you the most?
What weird thing have you seen in live?
Come and talk about any experience of live you have!
SHare and enjoy!!

I'd begin this thread by two bands that are amazing in live, I mean Comeback Kid and Flogging Molly.

Comeback Kid is a canadian hardcore band, maybe one of the most famous in the world...
I've seen them twice (last summer in Hellfest in France, and last week-end in nantes, also in France), and both times were just hell of a live!
They have this energy that makes the show special, this relationship with the crowd, it's just powerful!

Flogging Molly is an irish-punk band, very intensive, though very melodic and lyrical!
They're seven on stage (drummer, bass, elec. guitar., violin, mandolin, accordion and acoustic guitar), so the gig is totally crazy!
They have the very power to share their energy with the audience, it's fabulous!

I recommend you to see them if you can (they tour a lot in USA), it's awesome!
And their music is very easy to listen, even though it's qualified as punk!

And just for the anecdote, in the Hellfest 2009, we saw (not a long time) Motörhead, and there were a tent realising one of the best stage diving ever!Twas great!!

Now is your time...

I have seen a few minor bands, but I have seen Joel Plaskett live. Not sure if you heard of him, but he came to where I lived about a year ago.

How about the Black Sabbath; Live Evil tour? The performance that Ronnie James Dio did of Iron Man with them was absolutely incredible

Of course, the best concert I have ever seen would have to be when the Music As A Weapon IV tour came to Baltimore. It was Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, and Chimaira. Chimaira sucked, but the other three were great.

Oh, if you would like to hear the amazing version on Iron Man that Dio, click here to listen

Sorry for the double post, but I was watching TV while I typed that (obviously), and I need to correct it.

I meant to say the following:

The best show I saw was the Dropkick Murphys, a celtic punk/skinhead band from Boston. They were so good, I got to sing with them for a little while too.

I really want to see Flogging Molly live, I hope they come to Australia soon because their music is amazing, it would be so powerful to see it live.

I saw Flogging Molly live, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. There was a mosh pit from the stage till about 30 yards back. I was right up in the front shouting lyrics and being pushed around in a sea of humanity, coming out covered in beer, water, and sweat that wasn't all mine.
After that every mosh pit I go in will be measured against that one.
They even did a five song encore that night. Best 20 bucks I have ever spent.

And in Flogging Molly I was just in front of the stage, on the fances, yelling all lyrics, it was huge!!
