An alien crash lands in Washington D.C. and dies, but unleashes an incurable pathogen on the populace. With no cure all who are infected are transformed into horrific creatures who have lost their ability to reason, think, and behave like a human. As the behaviorial involution becomes complete, Washington D.C. begins to fall to the most basic, animalistic destruction ever witnessed. Not with bombs or guns, but with a virus and those it infects. With no other option, the government orders a complete quarantine of Washington D.C., isolating it from the rest of the US and eventually the world. With nowhere to go, the trapped survivors are left to fend for themselves in a cage of violence and savagery, or succumb to the mind destroying pathogen that has claimed so many lives already.
