I am trying to find information on getting my tongue forked. The thing is I was with one of my mates when he got his done and it was a total blood bath. So I don't want to just get it done by my regular piercer like he did. I want to get a plastic surgeon to do it. Also to put my parents at ease. Anyway, if you're into body mod like I am and live in Melbourne is there any chance you know of any doctors that'd do it for me? Possibly through mates or whatever?

I really don't get it: breast implants, sex changes, liposuction, facial reconstruction and all that stuff is totally normal but one cut that isn't even an inch long is wierd to them...
Nah, but my research has taught me that some dentists will help. Any dentist that will fork a tongue must be pretty badass and I want to meet them. lol.

I am completely unable to help (partially because I'm too lazy to try to search for you, partially because I just don't know), but I'm curious: Why do you want to have your tongue forked?
I think it looks awesome. For as long as I can recall (well as far back as the beginning of high school) I have wanted to fork it and then pierce both sides. But it kind of just became one of those things, like suspension, that would be awesome but I don't have the balls to do. But then like 6 months ago my mate got his done. But I swear, it was like his eyes were screaming at me while it was happening and there was blood EVERYWHERE, over his face, over my hands, his hands, piercers hands. EVERYWHRE. So now I've decided it's going to happen this year but surgically or not at all. Also, my ex girlfriend who I'm totally in love with hated the idea and it makes her sick. So I had to sacrifice the idea of it to stay with her. but yeah, that's not an issue anymore. lol...
Actually sounds kinda cool, though piercing both ends is a little - mehehe, I'm not that fond of piercings. Good luck finding a place to get it done with less of a bloody mess.
if it becomes forked are you able to move each side independently?
Yeah, you can put one ontop of the other, or you can bang them together etc. there are separate muscle groups on either side. The reason we can talk and stuff is because the tongue is like two organisms connects together. By severing the connection they are free to move. You'd be suprised how much they can move just from regular stuff you do with your tonuge. I was at a bar with the previously mentioned friend and these girls were looking at him, and he has a girlfriend so he wanted them to stop staring so he poked out his tongue and then separated them and closed them around the straw in his drink and pulled it into his mouth. It was so funny.

Although I would never do that, that sounds cool. The only body mod I'm doing is stretching my ears.
