Imagine yourself on two stories...

Story number 1:you suddently get lost in the woods(i dont know, how about you were fishing alone and on the way back you got lost)and suddently,a small cute and hungry looking mountain lion(also imagine you were like 6 years old or not too tall) jumps at you.you suddently drops your stuff and use your best arm as a shield.the small lion bites your arm and its now just flesh and bones.you find time to use your other arm to block the beast.you se a pocket knive next to your arm that became flesh.the only way to pick it up is using your (now only flesh and bone) arm.
Now choose what to do:
1.pickup the pocket knive and cut the mountain lion throat.
2.use your head and try to knock out the mountain lion(cuz opition 1 must hurt)
3.give up and die.

Now story 2:You suddently get lost in the woods(again!).this time you havent got any food, the river has only dead fish(due to pollution),all fruits are poisonous and you've survived for 3 days.you find a (very very very{I SAID VERY}) cute bunny(imagine that you love bunnies).what would you do:
1.adopt the bunny as your only friend.
2.kill him somehow
3.folow him(the bunny probably is a part of a big bunny family and a lot of bunnies are better than one)
4.Folow him and find out witch fruit it eats to suvive.

you can submit more stories too and you can also excuse possible grammar mistakes as i live in brazil

For story number 1, I would use option 1. If a Mountain lion was going to kill me, I would kill it first.

For story number 2, I would use option 4. I don't want to unnecessary kill an animal.

Story 1 : Kind of odd you'd be six years old and alone in the woods by yourself. I'd attack it with the pocket knife.

Story 2: Number four. If that didn't work I'd move on to number 2

Yes it is...

Story 1: I'd kill the lion with the pocket knife.

Story 2: Option 3, and if that didn't work I'd kill him. Better him then me right?

Now why would I be fishing in the woods alone at the age of 6? ._.

Anyways, I would do anything necessary to survive.

For story one I would kill the mountain lion, as a note when you have that much adreneline it won't hurt nearly as much as after the fact and most likely you would then die seeing as your six years old wounded and lost.

Second story I think I would follow it to see what fruit it eats like the proverb "give a man a fish feed him for a day teach a man to fish feed him for a lifetime" if however I wouldnt live much longer I would have to kill the rabbit.

This one is something I either saw on T.V or read here is the story.

You are an american soldier in iraq and your squad is going around the outskirts of the village you see several insurgents going into homes killing in the streets and generally causing fear and panic. You and your squad duck behind some trees and watch to see whats going on. Now the insurgents are bringing what appears to be a 12 year old girl out of one of the homes and try to rape her. Your orders are to not fire unless fired upon everyone else in your squad is spitting fire over not being able to do anything but they would never disobey orders. Now it's all up to you. There are 6 insurgents you can see 4 with the girl and 2 standing guard only the two standing guard are ready to fire.

Do you

A) follow your orders and use your fury in future battles

B) try to convince your commander to take action (no time to recieve new orders before the girl is raped)

C) throw a grenade that will kill the insurgents but also the girl so she is spared from rape but will be dead.

D) Damn you orders you won't let a little girl get raped you may go down but your going down in a blaze of fire. You may live if you manage to take out the two guards quicklybut you will definatly recieve a dishonorable discharge.

Personally I would do option D.

story 1 all options are flawed.
1. it would be the most possible but you would likely die trying
2. if you try to headbutt it then the mtn lion would open his mouth and decapitate you.
3. you die... what else is there to say?

Story 2
1. bunny's natural instinct is to run, so if you approach it you will starve
2. build a bunny trap, at most you can go 30 days w/o food so i'd guess this would extend your life 2 days
3.most fesable option. if you follow him without his ultra hearing (impossible unless you track them). bunnies are mammals so they travel in groups. then you could build a trap out their hidey hole and have enough food to extend your life tremendously
4. bunnies can eat some foods that are poisonous to humans, so no

War Story

A) follow your orders but do not build fury as that only results in you being careless and shot dead
B)if your orders are what they are any good captain will refuse
C)that solves no problem than your own selfish eyes
D)in the building who is there not to say there are 30 more? firing blindly on any emotion is a way to get killed and dishonoured.

if you really wanted to take care of those guys set up a couple of snipers to take them out. this will result in them retreating to building in which you call an airstrike or them rushing out to see what happened in which case you set up a perimeter around the group and ambush them. 1 civilian sacrificed can save 30 more

@graham: Your right emotion using a gun is a bad thing but it can also drive you, a good commander should refuse, i agree it would only ease your conscience, maybe maybe not thats a risk and a choice that would be tough to make
About the snipers this village is not your main objective its in no strategic position and is not of importance to your commanders so they would keep an eye on it but not move unless threatened. Besides this isnt a story for logic but emotion your right about what should happen but what would you do using only your emotions hypothetically

@ bluydee she might die if there are any more insurgents you cant see but if there arent she might have lived
