They used to have a vote up button, which would be like thumbs up. That got removed though. Then the flag is thumbs down. So we already have/had this system in place.
I wish they would bring the thumbs up back. Why did they remove it?
They said that merit worthy comments should stick out on their own, also people were voting up their own comments. I wish they'd bring it back too. I'm sure there's a way that they could fix the problem with people voting up their own comments.
Yes, but my idea is that when you click a thumbs up a number would get added next to it, to show how many people thumbs'd it up/down.
Eh...I wouldn't like that. I used to go on Yahoo Answers and people would abuse that system so much. They'd just vote up or down depending on what political party someone was in. It wouldn't be very useful for anything but answers people give.
I've suggested somthing like this, but then i think that people would make multiple accounts and get unlimited armorpoints for making spam.
It wouldn't need to give out AP, actually that would be a bad idea. Very bad. I think that he just wants this feature to show if it's a good answer or not, but the problem is AG isn't an answer site like Yahoo Answer or Wiki Answers.
i think the thumbs up/down thing is palgerizing youtube as they use the EXACT SAME THING.
So does Facebook. It's not exactly the most original idea, so they can't copy right it. Unless someone put a very unique twist on it. It would be plagiarizing if they like stole YouTube's pictures for thumbs up and down.
