Screamo isn't reall a genre itself, its just a word, have you ever seen a band that was specifically Screamo?
The blood brothers are a screamo band. And by the way screamo is a mixture of emo with screaming vocals, so you can see why nicklebacksucks had to point out so many of those metalcore bands were not in fact screamo or known as screamo.
Screamo is a branch off from punk hardcore and emo, which means that it takes the loud sound, fast play and short songs from hardcore, with the melodic screams from emo, but still more yelled... I don't listen to screamo sor I can't tell you bands, sorry...

Yes I have. Circle Takes the Square and Saetia. There's plenty more, but those are the only ones I've actually listened to.

This definition is pretty spot on except the songs don't necessarily have to be short. Circle Takes the Square has some really long songs. Also, it's not really the screams that are melodic, but the riffs.
Screamo is terrible. Except for Dropkick Murphys. At least you can understand them most of the time.
I can understand how someone might mistake metalcore bands for screamo, but how the hell can someone be stupid enough to mistake the Dropkick Murphys for screamo?
Hey NicelBackSucks, i love all of those bands =]]] ATR was my first band because of guitar hero 2 :P But there were realy good and i found all of the others, ifyou are interested, i have many more MetalCore, Screamo bands that are Realy Great in my opion =]]

Dropkick Murphys, screamo? Yeeeesss!! And did you heard about that famous Hip Hop band called Nirvana?They're great!
Come on, Dropkick are doing a so called irish-punk, which is Punk with irish instrumments (here the bagpipes...), with albums that are really irish-sided (Sing Loud, Sing Proud!),a dn albums which are more Punk (The Warrior's Code, their best, and The Meanest of Time). Well, this is over.

Well nickelbacksucks, Screamo has another definition in my world, so what ever you might call those bands there still screamo to me, I don't really care lol, this are just bands people listen to, its not about whether their screamo or not.
