Now, I know I should see a psychologist about these but I want AGs' opinion.

Last night I had a really odd sensation that I get from time to time. Usually minor, but when I was going to sleep I just about acted upon it. You see, there's an Aloe plant on my desk that I use for good luck, but for some reason I had the urge to destroy it. In a violent way. I felt the need to destroy it along with all my sentimental objects in my room.

Past fears coming to haunt me. . . .

Thoughts?

It doesn't mean anything unless you act on it. Sometimes I get really strong impulses to severely hurt people, but I don't act on it unless they actually do deserve it. If you're worried then you should go talk to somebody though

Ive heard of stuff like that before, although I forgot what your supposed to do when you feel that. I think it was something like start punching you pillow or something and then that helps you calm down. If you are really concerned that you might act on it someday then I would ask your normal doctor and see what he/ she says. Or you could even ask your parents. Hope this helped.

I'll be sure to try the pillow thing. And I'm having one right now. Great.

Thanks for the advice. I know it's sort of an odd question. . . .

Um, ya, everyone has >>.>> But not recently. Actually, not in the past two weeks. So that's not the cause. Which is sorta what makes it psychotic. Psychotic impulses (Which everyone gets I'm sure) are usually uncontrollable. There just bad when they're really strong.

This has happened a few times per year for me, but I tend to keep it quiet.
Yet, I know nothing about it. Sorry.

This is the reason I wasn't allowed on the computer for 3 years at school... Hard for me to pinpoint what it could be because I have ADD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, auditory learning disorder, anger issues, depression, narcissism, a high chance of becoming suicidal, a high chance of becoming an alcoholic, a high chance of becoming a smoker... We can take out the last 3 but....

Punching a pillow will likely make your anger/violent impulses worse.

I've read on a few sites about these studies; the results are always quite conclusive that doing nothing is better then 'venting' on something.

*shrugs*

I don't think there's anything wrong with the urges to.. 'urge' your existing surroundings in your room. Maybe subconsciously you want to change but you feel like you're mired in place, or that things are holding you back?

I think the only point in time you should be worried is if you are going to hurt yourself or others.

Graham's right. You could develop a stress-induced ulsar, or explode from holding it all in... meaning doing it a lot at one time... not literally explode. lol
