Both aren't' my style, I really don't know much about them, but I have to say that probably lavigne is slightly better. Lavigne sounds well also in Italian, maybe that's the reason why I prefer her.
Avril Lavigne because she's canadian . Althugh Girlfriend is an annoying song eh?
Both singers fail, but Avril's songs are funnier.
It's sort of hard to say.I'd go with a tie.I like both of their songs =)
kelly clarkson is a lot better she seems like a nice person shes pretty and shes gone really far since american idol.

Avril Lavigne
I liked Avril Lavigne's first album, when she was still the "anti-Brittany," before she got into all this weird divorce and sex stuff.
I think Kelly Clarkson has a better voice and overall and better personality than Avril. Although they both were/are pretty successful.
