there once was an alchemist who claimed he could create an acid that would instantly eat through any substance.
the king demanded to prove it, so the alchemist came the next day and gave the king a vial of the acid.
the king had him arrested. why?

The acid ate through the vial and landed on the king, thus eating through the king

technically if the acid could eat through anything it woulda ate through the vial when he first put it in there, so his acid couldn't eat through everything.

now i seriously didnt read any of the other answers, but after getting my answer its that same as caucheka, the acid couldnt be contained in a vial if it could eat through anything, thus he lied to the throne, and the king said "OFF WITH HIS HEAD" or something along those lines
