Hi All,
Have you heard of Earth Hour? It started in Sydney last year and has gone global this year.

The basic idea of it is to turn off your lights for one hour on the 29th March 2008 from 8pm till 9pm.

lol SwitchFoot it is tomorrow not today, as Raptor says I thank you for informing us that this event was going to take place. It makes me more aware and I'm absolutely going to take part in it. Perhaps not just tomorrow but more often.

...I must say. Why is everything now Eco friendly, green, or Global Warming? That seems to be the main importance of life now... It's like... A religion.

I mean, seriously! If all the Ice Caps really DID melt, it would flood SOME coastal areas, but not everywhere!

Earth hour is tonight. Uhh to tell you the truth Tealpug, if the polar caps melted in would be a disaster, most of north america(yes that is u, USA) would be under water. If yur that ignorant then dont bother doing reasurch on land altitudes, and go drown.

^I live more than 5000 ft above sea level. I'll be fine when the flooding comes. It's when the freezing comes that I'll be in trouble.

Well, Australias Earth Hour has past. We turned all the lights off and used candles. My parents made my turn the computer off and we watched Vicar of Dibley from a tape recording. Here is a picture of Sydney habour with and without the main lights.

Causing overpopulation, a new way of living, dramatic climate changes, etc. etc. etc.

Its not a religion, but going green is something that everyone should do to preserve the planet how it is. Global warming is something else, but throwing trash away and conserving is good. Saves Coal, helps our enviorment. [Which we've been killing for years].

Global warming is just a clever way for Al Gore and his liberal friends to take yor money. Gore doesn't even really follow his own preaching(he pays "carbon offsets" to a company that he owns).
