Need help getting through warlords? Choose your race (if you have beaten before no demons)

If you choose the Undead buy the halberdier unit first as they have a high halberd upgrade (+3) as soon as you start the game, then save up for the Flalier to back up your halberdiers. Try eliminating the Men of the West and the Orcs of the South first, they are your biggest threat (men of the west have the Javelin thrower and the orcs have Axe throwers and your ranged units arent that great) When fighting the demons with the undead send all your units in one line; 10 or 13 halberdiers then back them up with 3 or 4 flaliers followed by swordsman and more halberdiers.

If you are the Night elves save up for the whirler, it demolishes everything (even giant trolls sometimes!) But before you get the whirler send in 5 swordsman and then 3 spearman, then 3 or 4 archers. This creates a group, or clump of your soldiers all on one spot of the battlefield making a 1 v 1 battle a 5 v 1 battle and even in those instances your whirler being the 1 versus the 5 might still win depending on the enemy units. For upgrades purchase armor upgrades once or twice swordsmanship definitely 2 or 3 times and spear training should be purchased after every battle or two if possible.

If you are the orcs of the north buy a spear upgrade first then launch an all spear and swordsman attack and i tend to make them in large groups of swordsman then spearman creating a clump or group of soldiers. Then once you have the battle-axeman and the halberdier send in 5-8 halberdiers and 4 battle-axeman to fend off enemies and deal high damage, beware mages and archers (use spearman mages or archers to take out an enemy mage.

The wood elves are the hardest campaign being their swordsman suck, and they have no unique unit. It is almost impossible to beat the demons with them unless you have mages and halberdiers and highly upgraded swords and spearman. There are no real tactics other than to follow the group/clump tactic and how to take out a mage.

Orcs of the south, all you need is 2 swords upgrades and 2 or 3 spear upgrades, an axe thrower and a Mounted Halberdier to do all your work. The swordsman are more aggressive than the other races' swordsman and the axe throwers stacked behind swordsman are the perfect way to destroy a defense and win the battle. And a wave of Mounted Halberdiers to finish them off. Use these tactics to take on the demons with them.

The Men of the West have a -2 halberdier bonus so try upgrading that as much as you can, as well as their armor and swordsman 2 upgrades during the campaign. Buy a Javelin thrower unit, halberdier, and mounted spearman to destroy the enemy.

The mountain trolls are cheap, they have a giant troll which is basically all you need (and a extremely high spearman upgrade) to decimate the enemy. use clump/group tactics without the giant trolls at first, then send in a wave of giant trolls when possible then send in spearman behind them to get extra scores.

The human alliance has a good start, high armor. Buy a swordsman upgrade as soon as you start the campaign then fight the undead, making a group or clump of spear and swordsman destroying the halberdiers and swordsman archer etc... (attack the forest of the damned first then the Dead marshes) To take on a flalier use a group of swordsman then send in spears.

How to take on a giant troll?! Use mages or extremely high upgraded armor halberdiers (5 at least) Or a whirler and/or kings guard.

How to fight a whirler?! No idea, just use lots of spearman and a mage if possible.

To kill a kings guard use spearman and mages and archers.

If your last race to defeat is The men of the west their Javelin throwers are impossible almost. You need a Mounted unit to defeat them and they will use halberdiers (upgraded) to defend him.

I've beaten the game twice with human alliance.
It's really easy with them.
Keep sending swordsman on one row and when a charge is available send out a charge of king's guard.
I beat the demons with that tactic.

i choose undead for my first campaign
was easy. just upgrade the halbert and save for the mounted halbert and fialler.

send 5 halberts,1 fialler, 1 mounted halbert in 1 row. very effective
