Well, going by the top games on the right hand column, pretty much they are all overrated, let me explain my thoughts:
Warfare 1944, first one in the popular games column, I think it's overrated, strategies are simple, flank system is quite annoying when you get down to it. Warfare 1944 has worse gameplay than Warfare 1917 in my opinion, but Warfare 1917 is even simpler gameplay (horde assault troops=win the game).
Hedgehog Launch 2, 2 words for this game: Low replay value. You get to space, you get all the upgrades, what now? I mean, the first 2 playthroughs it was fun, but after that, no reason to go back.
Crush The Castle, low replay value without custom castles, but quite simply, the game is too simple. The projectiles are not unique from each other at all, I think he could have done more with the projectiles or even the catapult (like more options and whatnot).
Gemcraft Chapter 0, seems fun, but it's like the monopoly of tower defense games. Way too long, and gameplay is the exact same as always. I have to say I actually liked the original Gemcraft gameplay a bit better. As in this gemcraft, it seems like if you don't get the right gems, your screwed for the level, whereas in the original gemcraft, if you placed and upgraded your gems right, no matter your luck you could win. Also the fact that waves spawn in like 4 different places is quite annoying.
Sonny 2, I admit it, I'm a pretty big sonny fan, since I've been following Krin since Crimson Warfare and Sinjid. I do think it's a bit overhyped on this site though, like having it's own forum to itself and all. ALthough I do like the gameplay, the only frustrating thing is the legend achievement. Some battles need to be played over and over for hours just to catch a break to win. However, besides that it's all good with me. I do admit that there are parts of Sonny and Sinjid: SOTW that I like better than Sonny 2, as they are simpler than Sonny 2, in Sonny and Sinjid, it was fairly easy for people to find the strategies and attacks best used, but in Sonny 2, it took a while for some of the best strategies to come out.
Last Stand 2, I just don't like this game that much. It's a shooter, great. Problem is, limited amount of weapons, monotonous enemies, and the fact that if your unlucky, you don't always win. If you don't get enough supplies for travel, your screwed. I never really understood the appeal of this game, sure it's a good shooter, but flash games arn't known for being great shooters.
Basically, I find a lot of games overrated, but being overrated doesn't mean they aren't good. SOnny 2 is definitely overrated, but it's still a great game in my opinion.
