I was putting in this disc into my computer(Vista). It was a small disc, and it was made for the computer. The disc somehow slipped out of the holder thing and instead of falling onto the ground, fell inside the computer. Is there anyway to get it out without hiring a profesional?

Don't mind Lige's humorous attitude. He is like that often.

In Philippine pesos, you'd probably have to play 20-60 USD.

Well if your disc is stuck in a PC you should see a small . -pointy hole below the dvd rom, get an needle and put the needle in a whole and the dvd rom will open, that little miniature whole is used for stuck discs.

I said that too. Though Pois0Arr0w told me that the disc is actually stuck inside the drive, not in the tray.

-How did he manage to do that anyway

Probably slipperiness of the hand. I could imagine a person dropping the disc inside the drive.

If you know how to, disconnect the disc drive from your computer, store it in its packaging and put it somewhere safe. That way you can continue using your computer, albeit without a DVD/CD drive.

You could probably just open up the side of the computer and take it out. The difficulty of that would depend on the type of computer you have.

This is epic Games, finally someone speak up.

hmm.........

1. Unplugged the cable
2. Put you PC on unstatic place, which mean you can put your PC on a desk, not on the floor
3. put a rubber sandal, it reduce 90% electric shock
4. What do you mean u can't find it? it stuck inside? OK, open your casing, unplug the cable from DVD to motherboard, drag it out.

5. prepare your screwdriver, open the DVD case. Is it still on guarantee period? If so, just ask your vendor. Or, find someone who good at this stuff, I don't think you should pay a penny.

6. Done, open several screws won't damage your DVD.

7. Buy new one, but don't discard your old DVD or PC, you can use it later to study how to make LAN.

It isn't held in with screws. It's held in with bolts.

I know, sorry I'm an Indonesian, I don't know the exact words, but bolts is little brother of screw.

Your problem have no connection with your OS, all of DVD have circular holes in the middle.

Look, it's a simple prob, just stop playing AG for a while, repair it before it gets worse, it's a simple problem. If I live near your house I can come to help you, I'm in China now.

They are screw with circular holes in the middle, right?

Then, you'll need a screwdriver. A specific type of screwdriver.

Does it look like this?

If so then that is an Allen bolt, and will need an Allen Wrench of the appropriate size:

Though honestly I think that its best to not mess with hardware unless you truly know what your doing, since your talking about opening up the DVD drive itself. That is something they do not teach you to do in order to get your IC3.
