You have to understand that the PS3 is not better. It is far superior and comes with a blu-ray player. It has free online and it has a more comfortable controller.
The PS3 is not better. The 360 comes with way more online options. Family games. And allows people to be more social. Also the 360 has updates very frequently and online is updated often. PS3 may have blu-ray, but 360 can still play DVDs, rent movies, BUY games online (Now Full Length 360 games.) and buy tv shows all from the comfort of ur own home.
Randomation it sounds like you've never touched a PS3. The PS3 can play DVDs (duh? if you didn't know that just crawl back to the hole you came from), the PS3 gets updates very often (online too), you can buy full length games in the PS Store, you can rent and buy movies and tv shows.
And there's one almost unknown thing you can do with the PS3 that's to play 360 games right from the DVD in a way (you can only watch the cutscenes) you can't watch cutscenes from PS3 games on the 360, because the 360 only has a NORMAL DVD LENS which is 245 NM wider then blu ray, and in lasers that difference is like comparing a tank and straw in which is smallest.
NM stands for Nano Meters.
So the PS3 can do all the things you mentioned.(And online on the PS3 isn't full ads like live on the 360, pretty strange acctually when you most pay it's full of ads but the free online on the PS3 doesn't have any ads at all.)
The PS3 does have far superior hardware too.
But what really matters is if the buyer like the games on the console, the 360 has 59 billion FPS games and maybe 100 games of other genres, but the PS3 isn't filled with overrated FPS and does have many games of other genres.
