So, cars always used to use gas. That polluted the environment badly. So, now we have cars that can run on electricity. What are your thoughts on this?
Yes, Hybrid/electric cars are totally revolutionary. More people should really look into investing on getting one. If you are about to get a car. Hybrid should be your choice. Sure the don't make big manly truck sounds but they save you loads of money on gas.
Sure people will still keep the gas guzzlers just to be like VVVRRROOOOOMMMM POP POP VVRRROOMMMM in there truck. Which is a problem.
I have seen a car that got over 125 Miles to the Gallon of Gas. Because it was electric. He plugged it in to his house, and then the next day he is ready to go, with tons of milage.
Electric cars make no noise except the wheels on the road so you can't hear them coming (which is annoying because I can't be bothered looking when I'm on the road) I think electric cars will eb fine once they get them working properly at the moment they aren't quite good enough but the Honda Clarity looks nice and hydrgen is probably the way forward.
The only good hybrid is the Toyota Prius. In my opinion, anyway.
My uncle once pointed out that once hybrid cars run out of electricity, it will cost money to fix them. Probably more money than a month's worth of gas. Shouldn't this be in World Events, though?
Hybrid cars would save people enough money on gas, so that the car pretty much pays for itself. They don't pollute as much, and aren't as noisy. I think more people should buy hybrid cars.

There haven't been any actual production electric cars. There are only hybrids, which half run on electricity, but still rely on gas or diesel.
The first major mostly electric only car will be the Chevrolet Volt. It will still have gas in case you exhaust your electric charge so you can keep driving. That is why they are calling it an "extended range" electric vehicle.
The Volt should be coming out in 2010, but I bet it'll be a lot more expensive than a lot of people will want.
The problem is, for what you're going to save on gas, you're going to pay for equally if not more for the car and repairs. And you still have the electric bill!
Not everyone cares about Earth. Even if the Earth is close to dying, they still won't pay the money required for a hybrid car. Really, I think hybrid cars should be distributed for free, so to make sure everyone does use it.
