Hi, this is Moat. And since almost everyone on the Internet uses abbreviations, and not everyone understands them, I have brought into commission the Internet Lingo Dictionary. It's the basic abbreviations list, plus if you see something that's not on here, I'll translate it personally. Kind of like my l337 translator.
Brb: Be right back Lol: Laughing out loud Rofl: Rolling on the floor laughing Roflol: Rolling on the floor laughing out loud Lmao: Laughing my @** off Lmfao: Laughing my f****** @** off Roflmfao: Rolling on the floor laughing my f***** @** off Roflmfaoxyz: Rolling on the floor laughing my f***** @** off plus extra letters K/KK: Ok Cu: See you Ttyl: Talk to you later Ty: Thank you Yw: You're welcome Np: No problem W/e: Whatever Gb: Goodbye
That's the basic list. If you read something you don't see here, submit it and I'll translate it for you. Hope this helps you out.
gtfo: get the f**k off stfu: shut the f**k up w/: with w/o: without QT: cutie omg: oh my god omfg: oh my f**king god ftw: for the win, i always thought was f**k the world :P OP: opening post wtf: what the f**k wth: what the hell
I know...I was going to update it every once in a while. And yes, tennisman, that would be helpful. That way, I wouldn't have to translate personally so much ^.^
Oh sorry Perslos. I used the forum search for internet lingo, and it didn't bring up anything like this. Is that a dead thread, or is it still alive? Cuz if it's dead this one is ok. And now I have an update. Yes, Cenere. I rarely use these myself. But there are some people(not naming names) who use these all the time. And this is for the people who don't understand the abbreviations.
Idk: I don't know Idc: I don't care G2g: Got to go Nvm: Nevermind.
gtg: got to go 8: for 'ate' sound. EX. l8, sk8 bbl: be back later cya: see you (later) qctm: quietly chuckling to myself (self created for those small lol moments) lshihhabwctlfts: laughing so hard i have a heart attack but will continue to live for thirty seconds
funny thing: there is no abbreviation for abbreviation
Hmm, a good advice: When there are no more than two pages, read both, will ya? Not the same site as I posted, though. Also, for links, go check the stickies in the Newcomer's Section.
