MP-40 with the double mag and the PPSH-41 with its round clip are tied for best weapon in the game as far as I'm concerned. My next choice would be a sniper rifle.

lol jk, maybe try a whole new genre? gewers are ok with the right attachments. or I suppose if your set on kick ass sub machine guns try the PPSH -41 muahahahaha.... ahem.... :S
i use the mp40 to get the marksmen challenges and maybe 1 or 2 expert challenges. otherwise a good substitute would be any other submachinegun eg. thompson, etc. or some machineguns eg. bar, etc.
The best weapons in the game are Bolt-Actions. They kill very easily, and have incredible range.
My thoughts exactly! I always get the sniper scope for the bolt actions. Truth be told- it's kind of fun to kill people with a bolt action with only Iron sights.
I think its a great gun. It's accurate, good rate of fire, does good damage, and you can still run when holding down the left trigger to fire even more accurately.
i personally like rifles the best because with a fast trigger finger they can take out an mp-40er from any range. my favorite gun is the SVT-40 or the M1A1 Grand when you unlock it (carbine is the m1a1)
