Ok, so here's the deal. I was going to just play games on AG. And sometimes I don't log in when I'm just going to play games, just to get away from the rigamarole of posting, rating, checking my comments, etc. I saw that there was an ad on the comments that could only be removed by logging in. Before I became a member, this was not the case. My question is this: are rights being taken away from non-members, and what are your thoughts on this?
Rights being taken away? It takes a few minutes to sign up to get rid of ads, anyone who does complain about this, is quite lazy, or just likes to pick out problems or the smallest flaws they can find in anything.
Oh, I was unaware that being "tired" and "bored" was a good reason to make it, I apologize for saying you were lazy and such. I wouldn't have if I would have known it was because you were tired and bored.
Umm, are you being sarcastic? It's hard to convey tone via typing. If you aren't, then it's ok. I'm not complaining; just want some friendly debate here. There are decreased rights for non-members. And although this site is PG-13, there are several kids younger than 13 playing the games here who aren't members. But you need to be 13 to join up(even though that hasn't stopped a lot of people). But what I'm saying is, 12- who are um...obedient? Don't join up. So that leaves them with less things to do on this great site, and everyone should be able to enjoy the full capacity. Sorry. With school still out(but only 3 days left of summer vacation) I am so bored I am actually missing the Daily Debates we used to do in my old classroom...
I read that someone under thirteen is allowed to be here on AG, as long as parental permission is given.
This Site is offered and made available only to users thirteen (13) years of age or older. If you are not yet 13 years old or the required greater age for certain features, please discontinue using the Site immediately, or if for any reason, you do not agree with all of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement, please discontinue using the Site immediately because by using or attempting to use the Site, you certify that you are at least 13 years of age (or other required greater age for certain features, where applicable) and meet any other eligibility requirements of the Site.
That is what I meant, as in users younger than 13 should not be seeing the game comments anyways, since you have to be logged in.
The 13 years of age thing doesn't really matter, if you 11 or 12 and mature, moderators don't give you a hard time.

Well... by signing up for this site, technically you endorse that you are at least 13 years of age.
So, there is no way to actually verify whether they are younger, unless they say it themselves. Even then it can't really be enforced since you already endorses that you are 13 or older by agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and signing up.
Jeez you've got school already? I've got 3 weeks left too!
*clenches fists with jealousy*. [offtopic]Yeah. School starts early this year because of construction. No recess and shorter summers(by like a month) all for a school I won't even be going to! Yeah, that's right. By the time it's done I will have graduated =0.[offtopic]
Im pretty sure the mods and admins dont enforce the 13 years or older rule very well though
Yeah, they don't really. I think that 13+ isn't that important as a rule. I mean, it really depends on your actions. An 11-year old can be as mature as an adult, and an adult can be as mature as a 6-year old. It depends on actions. Wow, we're getting off-topic, aren't we?
